“Went to Bonfire Old Fashioned BBQ tonight for fish. Wow, what a great experience. Guy directed us in, held the door, welcomed us, seated us and we didn’t have one server, we had several. The guy (I’m guessing owner manager) cheerfully gave us a sample of their chili over creamy Mac n cheese. It’s a specialty of theirs. Superb. Husb had fish dinner and I had fish sandwich. Superb. Multiple people checked on us several times, free drink refills without a wait. We were thanked for coming in and I believe the lady of the place escorted us out an exit they don’t use on regular basis because it was closer to where we parked and flat covered walk for my husband walking with a cane. We wanted dessert but no room; servings are awesome. We’re going back some evening just to have a treat. Clean, warm atmosphere, spacious seating, great food and service as well as appropriate pricing. Highly recommend. Thank you to the entire staff and kudos to the cook(s) for a very delightful dinner hour. We’ll be back. Lots on menu we want to try!!Parking: Plenty of parking both sides of the building.Kid-friendliness: We didn’t have kids along but overheard the welcome that was given to families. Kid menu very nice.“
“Lovely dinner! We did the pre-paid fixed 4 course menu. Great food, staff was wonderful. Owner came by and was able to answer my husband's questions about how many kilowatts output their solar panels produce and all about the structure, which is beautiful as well as LEED certified.“
“The area was hit with 6 inches of snow. I walked over to Barrel 21 and was the only customer crazy enough to go there while it was snowing still. (More diners came in once the snow abated.) Friendly server/bartender. I tried the Keywaydin Hard Cider, which was good and went great with the Barrel Burger (Ribeye burger which is ground in house, brown sugar, & balsamic caramelized onions, bacon, muenster, roasted garlic aioli on a potato roll) and the truffle fries (Fries topped with parmesan cheese and served with a parmesan truffle aioli.). The burger really had a steak flavor to the meat, and the bacon had a nice smoke to it, not the cheap stuff the fast food places serve that looks like it was sitting around for a while. I was visiting the area from a few hours away, otherwise, I would definitely be back again, probably to get the burger again since it was so good!Parking: Plenty of parking for Barrel 21 and their sister restaurant, Otto's Pub next door.“
“A great place to meet friends for lunch. The menu is full of comfort food! Portions are big. An excellent cheeseburger w/ steak fries! Eggs, pancakes, and sausage. Biscuits! Cornbread! Turkey dinner! Meatloaf! Chicken! All good. A favorite.“
“Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos, but my wife, youngest son, and I had a wonderful experience at the Texas Roadhouse this past Sunday. I enjoyed the Dallas Filet with onions and mushrooms, while my wife enjoyed her Smothered Chicken. My son raved about the Strawberry Lemonade and Mozzarella Sticks. Our server was excellent, and the ambiance, though the restaurant was busy, was enjoyable.“
“The food here was so good we went in on a Thursday morning and the servers all seemed annoyed we were even there though. Our girl didn't really come check on us and there was a 15 minute gap between us receiving our actual plates. But the food tasted good.“
“Love this place food and drinks are excellent. I generally have great service when I go but the last two times the server was not very attentive. He missed parts of our order and forgot things throughout the meal. Overall it's a fabulous “
“An exceptionally wonderful and memorable experience at Grace Restaurant at Carnegie. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a special, romantic evening of wining and dining and could not have been happier. Friendly, professional, attentive staff; beautiful decor with lovely lighting including multiple fireplaces to enhance the already lovely ambiance. Expect higher end pricing for exquisite beverages and cuisine. Huge wine selection. We ordered a bottle of Bread and Butter, Cali white at a reasonable price and it was a delicious accompaniment to our meal. (Cauliflower steak was a tad spicy for my liking but that was my only complaint) Kudos to the owners, bartenders, kitchen and pastry chefs! Such beautiful presentations and delicacies made for a lovely evening! Highly recommend from a foodie traveler.“
“We have only been to this location once since living in the area, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and our breakfast. We had an awesome waitress who took good care of us. The portions left us wanting more. The restrooms were clean, and the older building showed signs of its age but was mostly well maintained.“
“We stopped by the Legends Pub for an early dinner yesterday, (Monday): I had the "Happy Valley Charcuterie Platter," [i.e., which was amazingly-tasty with its array of different types of sliced cheese & sausage; marinated mushrooms; whole-seed mustard; fruit relishes/jams/jellies; toasted bread rounds, etc.!] ........................ and my husband had a Reuben Sandwich with Fries, [i.e., which he said was top-shelf "wonderful"!]!!Although the food is maybe a bit expensive ~(i.e., for this area)~ the portions were so generously LARGE that we both asked for take-home boxes, which our fantastic server Eric ............ [who, without fail through the years, has always been very attentive & accommodating every single time he's been our server!] ............ promptly brought out!! Today, we subsequently enjoyed our delicious "Pub leftovers"; so, all-in-all, we do think the Legends Pub is definitely a ~**Good V.a.l.u.e.**~, dollar-wise, you know!!Vegetarian options: Caesar Salad; Greek Salad; Spinach Salad."Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta": with Seasonal Diced Vegetables, Garlic Crostinis."Vegetable Panini": with Grilled Eggplant, Zucchini, Squash, Roasted Red Peppers,Provolone, Hummus, Olive Tapenade, Rosemary Ciabatta."Impossible Burger": with Caramelized Onions, Cheddar, Garlic Aioli,Pretzel Roll.“
“We tried Otto's for the first time and would definitely return. The beers were good, I especially liked the apricot wheat. We ordered the slider baskets which were tasty and the fries were nice and crisp; and a special--mandarin orange chicken on a bed of jasmine rice which I thought was flavorful (the rice was crunchy in some bites) but the chicken was very tender and moist so it made up for the crunchy bites of rice. The brownie sundae was large but average. Our server, Leslie, was nice and helpful! We enjoyed the atmosphere and will return next time we are in town. I definitely would recommend giving Otto's a try if you have not!“
“Burger—-WOW, AMAZING!!! Decor—-so FUN!!! MUSIC—-sometimes irritating for my ear tunes into all music everywhere, servers—-GREAT and Personable!! Home-made chips could hardly be tasted for the overdone stowing in spices, especially the SALT. Thought I would try them since I had not had any in two years, but they were just as bad as then.“
“I've been traveling to State College regularly for years. I had no idea that American ale House existed. Found it when looking for a Sunday brunch spot, and was pleasantly surprised. Great brunch menu along with good looking lunch and dinner menu. Reasonable prices, quality food. Sunday bloody Mary bar as a bonus. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return“
“Amazing atmosphere & food! The food is exquisitely prepared & served. The waiters & waitresses are attentive & friendly. There's also a nice drink menu whether it a soda, wine, draft beer or mixed drink. You won't be disappointed!“
“We stopped here on a busy Saturday night, while place was packed, still managed to get seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress/server was very nice, got us our drinks quickly & checked on us regularly. The whole place, was FULL, and we got our food in about 20-25 minutes. Our food was great! My boyfriend’s sandwich, was so big, he could hardly get his mouth over it!Definitely will be coming back!“

“Did not expect this sort of cuisine in central PA tbh. The pork belly is amazing, the barramundi is crisp and flakey (also a rare fish to find in restaurants), everything was super tasty. Waitresses are great, and the vibe is nice. Did not get rushed at all and truly enjoyed spending time there. Would go back 10/10“
“The place was very crowded but we had a very small wait time and once we were seated drinks and appetizers were brought out quickly and then our food all came out at once so everyone could eat together. Even though I ordered a steak and everyone else got burgers. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was very helpful and kept drinks coming. Overall, I highly recommend Quaker steak& lube and State college“
“I wanted to try a chicken oyster. It was delicious and served with mustard sauce. The cinnamon pancakes were also mouth watering. They were sweet but not too sweet. Macchiato was miniature. Not what I'm used to. The waitress warned me when I ordered. I ended up getting a regular coffee as well. Service was 5 stars. My waitress was warm and friendly. The place was busy and was getting busier before I left. I would definitely eat there again.“
“The bartender Chris was outstanding: personable, offered suggestions since it was our first visit, and checked in frequently. Good looking bar with an old school look. We had cheesesteak, grilled cheese and tomato soup(excellent on a chilly rainy day). It was good, not amazing, no slight. Definitely would go back for an afternoon.“
“My friend Alyssa recommended I tried the black and blue bacon burger with asparagus on the side. She was right it was awesome. Definitely, the best waitress in State College. Definitely, the best BLACK & BLEU BACON BURGER. Thank you … I will be back!!“
“I truly love there food I haven't had anything that I haven't like it's always delicious. Plus you have to have a drink in a fish bowlParking: There is plenty of room to parkKid-friendliness: Yes very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Very easy to entre the building very friendly wheelchair entre“
“What this restaurant does well, it does particularly well. The carbonara is excellent, and easily their top entrée. The limoncello makes for an excellent dessert. Conversely, other entrées, such as the flounder, are okay but not necessarily the best you'll have. The location's ambience is very inviting, conveying, a sense of intimacy and elegance. The service is very good and attentive. It very much has the feel of a date night destination on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening.“
