“We came for dinner with a group of 16 while in town for a swim meet. Some restaurants struggle with large groups but not this place! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic at making sure everyone had what they needed. The atmosphere was perfect for a group. The main takeaway from the entire group was that the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Two of the chefs, Alec and Quinn, came out to the table to make sure everything was ok and even answered questions about some of the dishes. The adults were loving the crafted cocktails and the kids loved the desserts! If you’re looking for a farm to table style restaurant that provides great service and pays attention to all the details-this is it!”
“First time at university wine company. Great service, friendly, and the wine is amazing!!! Highly recommend.”
“Highly encourage making a reservation. Excellent atmosphere in an upscale yet relaxed environment. The menu is French leaning and delicious.”
“If you’re looking for an amazing pre- or post-workout treat — or just something delicious to satisfy your sweet tooth without feeling guilty — this place is it. The service is always wonderful, and the Cowabunga Smoothie is one of my personal favorites. Everything they serve is made with natural, organic ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of ultra-processed stuff going into your body. It’s refreshing to find a spot that focuses on quality while still making drinks that taste this good. It’s always a great choice when you need a quick energy boost to keep your day going. Highly recommended.”
“Had a great experience with our waitress Lyndsey! She has the menu completely memorized, was quick and checked in on us during service. She deserves a new name tag! Soo whoever manages this social media needs to read this and then show me a picture of her wearing it! You've got a great team member there, don't underestimate that!”

“This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in State College. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Our server, Andy, is great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in State College!!”

“My husband and I went here for a late lunch today. He said it is now his favorite restaurant. The food was excellent, I can’t even choose just one thing, because it was all really good. Hubby was talked into a piece of Carrot Cake to go. He loved it. We will definitely return!”
“Their food is delicious and there's no question about it. We ordered a Mutton Biryani and Lamb Kabob Bowl. However, there was so much rice in both and less meat, so we found the meat was not sufficient to eat the rice. If Cafe Alina wants improve its services, think about our comments and take some remedial measures. Thanks!”
“I love Crumbl, always go to the state College store, never any issues, great kids, BUT good golly, teach them how to acknowledge, greet and speak. Sheesh. These kids were mute, didn’t even speak to each other. So awkward. The one kid, stood there, dipping something and looking out of the corner of his eye, like nobody’s even making any eye contact, not even turning their head. The kid who handed me the cookies, pleasantly spoke, was very nice. But they def could benefit from “people skills 101””
“Becky organized our reunion dinner for 30 people perfectly. Everything about the Allen Street Grill is well detailed, from the welcoming ambience, to the impeccable and friendly service, to the well curated wine and cocktail collection, and the creative and talented kitchen. This is THE place to dine in State College.”
“Teadori is a fun mix of tea shop, a quick bite to eat and great place to chill with friends. The owner and his mom run this place well. Kind, welcoming, authentic. The Pho was outstanding. We really appreciated the time to sit and play games after lunch. A perfect spot to meet your Penn State student for lunch!”
“We ordered Ramen, gyoza, ika maruyaki, takowasa, karaage, and kaki fry and it was delicious! I wish I could order rice to go with Takowasa. The service was great !”
“Great service and quality food. Must try if you like Chinese food and want to celebrate with friends.”
“Wow! Wow! Wow! We enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner at American Ale House & Grill before a concert at BJC. We started with shrimp cocktail, with the huge, firm shrimp resting on a bucket of ice and dipped in chilled cocktail sauce. Perfection! My husband loves a good Cuban and declared this one the best he’s ever had. My lobster roll and Old Bay seasoned sweet potato fries were divine. From start to finish, our visit to American Ale House & Grill was on point. When in the State College area, this will be our go to spot!”

“A friend introduced me to The Cove about a month ago and I am a fan! I've gotten delivery from them twice and have had such pleasant experiences. Then, I was having a birthday party for my son and the people at The Cove were nice enough to make the pizzas for us even though they weren't open by the time the party started. I can't say enough good things about this place. Love the food, but love the people who work there even more! Highly recommend!!”

“Mercato Mio strikes a great balance between café comfort and Italian marketplace charm. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or lingering a bit with a coffee and dessert, the vibe feels welcoming and relaxed. Lunch hours (11 AM–2 PM) are ideal if you want a comfortable table and fresh food without the dinner crowds.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Food is very good and there is a large assortment of Asian food which is unique for a small town like this. HOWEVER, they sell fake labubus for $18. Make sure to check the packaging before you buy it, because they are fake. But if you don’t buy the labubus you will have a great time.”
“My dad asked me to post as he was so impressed: These guys are the Real Deal! Only tried the chocolate cupcakes -vegan & gluten free- but they were delicious! I seriously could not believe they were allergy friendly. Enjoyed it tremendously and can not recommend these guys enough. These people know what they are doing! Will 100% be going back for more business!”
“Thank you for your phenomenal customer service! I am always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation when visiting Philly Pretzel Factory - State College. Today was unlike any other and I stopped smack dab in the middle of FREE pretzel day! Thanks for the free pretzel today. Keep up the awesome work! 😋”
“Eat here a lot. Food is excellent and all the beers are amazing also.Highly recommended.”
“My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stop for food after watching a movie, and we loved the food! We had the ability to make reservations online or order ahead but didn't really have a need to. The food came out quick and had great flavor. The cocktails were perfect not too strong not too weak. The prices were very reasonable as well! Our waitress was very nice and it wasn't super busy so it was a nice chill atmosphere I would definitely go again and highly recommend!”

“The most incredible venue for a wedding. We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding (rehearsal, ceremony & reception) at the Graduate Hotel. The atmosphere, staff and venue were absolutely perfect. Both Jessica and Mark went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. And the food was to die for! Every step of the wedding planning process, Jessica worked with us to make sure our wedding day so special and everything we hoped it to be. On the day of, Mark went above and beyond to carry out our vision and make it perfect. Their hospitality was more than anyone could have asked for and we will forever recommend this venue to all.”

“My husband and I love good food, but Indian cuisine is not one that we are experienced in. Decided the lunch buffet was perfect not only for the cost, but the wide array of curry options to try. We absolutely loved them all. They had a mild to medium spiciness (enough to warm you up but not make you cry or sweat), the flavors were bold and well put together. I had a number of questions that were happily answered by staff. All in all, great experience and will definitely return again.”
“A wonderful restaurant for some fantastic Italian cuisine and pizza, Brothers Pizza and Pasta serves up delicious Italian meals in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The appetizers are tasty and were brought out quickly as were the side salads. The Sicilian Pizza is some of the best around. The puffy crust and the sauce are in a perfect ratio. Service was great, and we can’t wait to stop back again!”
“A walk down memory lane! Had our 31st anniversary dinner here, just like our 1st anniversary. They've kept the charm and prime rib, while adding some upscale atmosphere and menu options. Still an amazing place even 25 years after moving out of PA. Never have found a place that serves prime rib with that amazing demi glaze! Hoping we might make it back by our 40th.”

“The manager Jasmine Corey went above and beyond to help us in addressing an issue with our order. She was so kind and willing to help! Our 1/2 ham tasted a bit off, as it was far too salty, even a few layers deeper. I felt bad having to bring it back in for an exchange, but Jasmine alleviated my embarrassment. She even surprised me by taking different hams to the back to cut off pieces for me to try. That ensured we got a good ham, and sure enough this ham tasted so much better! The replacement ham we got this year brought back all of our fond memories of Honey Baked Ham. I really appreciate that our local store is run by Jasmine. She is the hero who saved our Thanksgiving feast. 😊”
“The food here is actually amazing and you can tell everything is fresh just by how it looks and taste, Everytime I go the main guy working there Arslan is always ready to serve and deliver the best service, he even makes the food just how I like it and remembers how I like my food as well. Great service all around even the cooks.”
“Visited yesterday with my family after church, I must say I have been here many times but the atmosphere was awesome. Ty the new store manager was awesome!! friendly and extremely nice. had an awesome time!! thanks for your patience with my card issue and being so kind”
“Visiting from out of town for a football game and decided on Champs for some pre-game noms. Service was decent and quick. Big establishment with tons of seating suitable to all group sizes. Plentiful TV's with all the games on. Food was tasty... Spicy wings weren't spicy at all but still yummy. Unfortunately fries were the only meat/dairy free option so maybe not the best for those with dietary restrictions... Definitely a good game day spot though.”
“We had the pleasure of dining at Gigi’s for dinner recently. The menu is very creative containing dishes we haven’t experienced previously. Quite an array of different cocktails that were creative as well. The food was excellent, but I’d say the drinks were a bit on the small size with the one large ice cube helping to make it look like a more generous pour. The different Old Fashioned drinks ranged from $14-$20, which I felt excessive. I’d call the atmosphere “spirited “ as it certainly was not quite fine dining. I would go back without hesitation.”

“Had Albert as a server, he was very kind and helpful and informed me of all the specials for the day. I didn’t see any other staff the entire time, it seemed like Albert was taking care of all the tables and he seemed to be doing a wonderful job doing it. Thank you Albert. Food was great also”
“We were recently in the State College area. For 8 nights of dinners, probably 6 were ordered from Outback. The food was great, but the reason for returning so often and the real reason for the 5-star rating is Jess, an amazing employee who went above and beyond to assure that every order was perfect. We ordered online through a delivery service, which went well, but there was no way to make changes or special requests. Each night after I placed an order online, I called Outback to make those special requests, and each time I was fortunate to speak with Jess. Every request I made was fulfilled, and every dinner was perfect. Jess patiently listened to my requests, careful to understand each, and assured me that my requests were reasonable. Jess is professional, kind, intelligent, and the reason I will always return to the Outback when I visit the State College area.”

“Three weeks ago my wife and I ordered the Saturday Prime Rib. The food was excellent and the price was exceptionally reasonable. A week later we tried the Prime Rib buffet at the Penn Stater Gardens. First the price was double that of Celebrities and the Prime Rib was only half as good. This past Friday we returned to Celebrities. My wife felt like having something different and the menu did not disappoint. If your looking for great food at a reasonable price you'll find it at Celebrities. We go out to eat once a week and this is the best we have found in the State College area.”

“We had a wonderful Easter dinner here. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. The staff was courteous and accommodating. Definitely try the New York trip day. It was delicious and the appetizers and pizza were good as well. Definitely be back during football weekends”
“I enjoy the free soda and tea refills, and the staff member at the cashier, Joan, is very, very nice and has helped place my orders when the kiosks don't work, which happens every now and then. I get a specialty sandwich made, and it is correct every time. Natalie, the staff member who almost always is the cashier in the first window of the drive thru, is EXCELLENT at keeping the line moving and placing my order correct. You can always tell when she is NOT working because the drive thru loan does not go as fact, and it's very obvious that other staff member isn't as efficient as Natalie. She is funny, down to earth, and always fun to see and talk to. Excellent customer service inside and in the dru thru. My specialty sandwich is hot and fresh.”

“I am so thankful I am for Penn Valley Cafe. I fly in and out of here several times a month for my work commute and really love having Francisco and Penn Valley here. My commute doesn't always line up with the flights so I usually spend about an hour here before the ticket counters open. Love the Cafe con leche!! ☕️”
“You need to come here‼️
Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, they walked us through the menu, helped us choose our dishes, and gave good recommendations.
We tried two different Guilin Rice Noodles dishes, and both were great! The portions were large enough to get me full which is no small feat!!
The staff was so kind, and we even made a new friend who was visiting his mom who works there. The whole place has such a strong community feel and genuinely amazing vibes.
Would definitely recommend! 🔥”
“I've been wanting to try Jersey Mike's subs ever since I started seeing their commercials on TV. I grew up in New Jersey and really missed the subs we had there. Jersey Mike's did not disappoint. My sub was just like I remembered the ones from my childhood. The service was great too!”
“no need to wait for servers to bring you a beer. and you can pour yourself small beers”
“I went to 7 Brew expecting a typical drive-thru coffee spot. What I got instead was a full-blown beverage experience. This place is NOT just coffee. The menu includes shakes, frozen lemonades, regular iced lemonades, energy drinks, fizz sodas, smoothies, teas, and fully customizable coffee drinks. The variety genuinely caught me off guard in the best way.I ordered a Watermelon Lemonade and a Chocolate Shake.
The Watermelon Lemonade was refreshing, clean, and balanced. It wasn’t overly sugary or artificial tasting. It had that crisp, bright flavor that actually quenches your thirst instead of just coating your mouth in syrup. The Chocolate Shake was thick, smooth, and rich. Not watery. Not icy. Just a solid, well-made shake that felt like a proper dessert. One detail I really appreciated: they use different size straws depending on the drink. The shake came with a taller straw, and the lemonade had a standard one. It’s a small thing, but it shows attention to detail and makes the experience better.Customization is another huge plus. You can adjust sweetness, choose flavors, add drizzles, and mix combinations across different drink types. It feels more like a beverage lab than just a coffee stand.Service was quick, ordering was easy, and the overall setup is efficient. It’s perfect for people on the go, especially late-night runs.If you think 7 Brew is just coffee, you’re missing out. It’s a creative drink spot with way more variety than expected.Definitely coming back.”
“Dreema (sp) in the State College store was amazing! She was very attentive. Helped us decide on our order (since it was our 1st time). She offered different options and flavors. The food was awesome! So glad we will get a BWW in Altoona. Now we just need her to transfer here
We were back in State College again for a surgery follow up. It had been a month since the last time and we stopped in again.
Our girl Drema was there. She is such a fabulous server. She even remembered us and sked us if we wanted the same table. Shehelped us choose different menu items than last time (because she actually remembered what we got previously). She goes over and above and is so attentive, checks in at the perfect intervals (not overbearing) (not absent). She always has a smile and what a great people person! She deserves all the kudos. She is a server you want to give a great tip too because she deserves it ♡”
