However, there was so much rice in both and less meat, so we found the meat was not sufficient to eat the rice. “I love Crumbl, always go to the state College store, never any issues, great kids, BUT good golly, teach them how to acknowledge, greet and speak. Sheesh. These kids were mute, didn’t even speak to each other. So awkward. The one kid, stood there, dipping something and looking out of the corner of his eye, like nobody’s even making any eye contact, not even turning their head. The kid who handed me the cookies, pleasantly spoke, was very nice. But they def could benefit from “people skills 101””

“I can't speak for how it is during the main academic year, but coming here over the summer was a lovely experience. The sole employee working there was friendly and provided a history of the establishment and some hot ramen shenanigans that occurred. The food itself was also an experience I've yet to find elsewhere. Definitely the closet thing you'll get to a Korean Convenient Store in the area. Will absolutely be going back again.”

“We came for dinner with a group of 16 while in town for a swim meet. Some restaurants struggle with large groups but not this place! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic at making sure everyone had what they needed. The atmosphere was perfect for a group. The main takeaway from the entire group was that the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Two of the chefs, Alec and Quinn, came out to the table to make sure everything was ok and even answered questions about some of the dishes. The adults were loving the crafted cocktails and the kids loved the desserts! If you’re looking for a farm to table style restaurant that provides great service and pays attention to all the details-this is it!”

“If you're looking for a place to hold a bridal shower or similar event, I'd highly recommend RE Farm! I had my bridal shower there and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The team was easy to work with, the food was fantastic, and my bridesmaids had very little to do because of how much the restaurant staff took care of. I also thought everything was very affordable, especially considering how much you get. I worked with Duke and Greg, and they both were incredibly willing to work with me on event details to make it both in my price range and what I wanted the day to look like. The venue is also beautiful and we really didn't need to add very much of our own decor at all. I received a ton of compliments from my guests about how wonderful the shower was and how the food was delicious. Can't recommend highly enough!!!”

“The manager Jasmine Corey went above and beyond to help us in addressing an issue with our order. She was so kind and willing to help! Our 1/2 ham tasted a bit off, as it was far too salty, even a few layers deeper. I felt bad having to bring it back in for an exchange, but Jasmine alleviated my embarrassment. She even surprised me by taking different hams to the back to cut off pieces for me to try. That ensured we got a good ham, and sure enough this ham tasted so much better! The replacement ham we got this year brought back all of our fond memories of Honey Baked Ham. I really appreciate that our local store is run by Jasmine. She is the hero who saved our Thanksgiving feast. 😊”

This place is a hidden gem…..We will make this place one of our go to spots for when we visit our daughter in State College!”

“A friend introduced me to The Cove about a month ago and I am a fan! I've gotten delivery from them twice and have had such pleasant experiences. Then, I was having a birthday party for my son and the people at The Cove were nice enough to make the pizzas for us even though they weren't open by the time the party started. I can't say enough good things about this place. Love the food, but love the people who work there even more! Highly recommend!!”

“Wow! Wow! Wow! We enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner at American Ale House & Grill before a concert at BJC. We started with shrimp cocktail, with the huge, firm shrimp resting on a bucket of ice and dipped in chilled cocktail sauce. Perfection! My husband loves a good Cuban and declared this one the best he’s ever had. My lobster roll and Old Bay seasoned sweet potato fries were divine. From start to finish, our visit to American Ale House & Grill was on point. When in the State College area, this will be our go to spot!”

“Bigger inside than it looks from outside. Plenty of seating, and a high chair. Entrance is in the front facing the street, but you park on the side. Chicken straps were hard and sauce was squishing out of the tacos. Someone in the back needs more training.”

“Stopped in to buy a caramel iced coffee. It was very busy so I had to wait a bit. Seems like the staff is more focused on pre orders made at the kiosks. There needs to be a person who takes care of the counter orders, instead of making customers wait until they are finally noticed. Why is it that the caramel is always sitting at the bottom of the cup, instead of staff mixing it before they hand it to you? The cup was so full I had a hard time stirring the caramel up from the bottom and it spilled everywhere. I couldn't find a napkin anywhere.”

The omelet I had was not stellar, but I was there at 1pm so I’ll allow it. The potatoes were great, the coffee was great, and they had a wide selection of sides. The toast was thick cut (yum) and the pancakes were thick too (my preference as well).
If the omelet came out better it’d be an easy 5 stars.”

The atmosphere, staff and venue were absolutely perfect. Both Jessica and Mark went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. And the food was to die for! Every step of the wedding planning process, Jessica worked with us to make sure our wedding day so special and everything we hoped it to be. On the day of, Mark went above and beyond to carry out our vision and make it perfect. Their hospitality was more than anyone could have asked for and we will forever recommend this venue to all.”

“A wonderful restaurant for some fantastic Italian cuisine and pizza, Brothers Pizza and Pasta serves up delicious Italian meals in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The appetizers are tasty and were brought out quickly as were the side salads. The Sicilian Pizza is some of the best around. The puffy crust and the sauce are in a perfect ratio. Service was great, and we can’t wait to stop back again!”

“We were recently in the State College area. For 8 nights of dinners, probably 6 were ordered from Outback. The food was great, but the reason for returning so often and the real reason for the 5-star rating is Jess, an amazing employee who went above and beyond to assure that every order was perfect. We ordered online through a delivery service, which went well, but there was no way to make changes or special requests. Each night after I placed an order online, I called Outback to make those special requests, and each time I was fortunate to speak with Jess. Every request I made was fulfilled, and every dinner was perfect. Jess patiently listened to my requests, careful to understand each, and assured me that my requests were reasonable. Jess is professional, kind, intelligent, and the reason I will always return to the Outback when I visit the State College area.”

“Three weeks ago my wife and I ordered the Saturday Prime Rib. The food was excellent and the price was exceptionally reasonable. A week later we tried the Prime Rib buffet at the Penn Stater Gardens. First the price was double that of Celebrities and the Prime Rib was only half as good. This past Friday we returned to Celebrities. My wife felt like having something different and the menu did not disappoint. If your looking for great food at a reasonable price you'll find it at Celebrities. We go out to eat once a week and this is the best we have found in the State College area.”

“What a surprise to find a good place to eat at the tiny airport in State College, PA! Although it looks like merely a convenience store—with chips, soft drinks, magazines, etc. — in the back is a full kitchen, where they can make salads, sandwiches, schawarma platters, soups…and all of it looks delicious. I had a Southwestern salad, and I think it was the best, freshest salad I ever had in an airport, in over 50 years of flying. Add to that a PERFECTLY made espresso with fresh Colombian beans, and you have a winner. A great experience, highly recommended! AAAAA”

“For a fast food establishment, it's middle of the road. Cleanliness is up to par, food quality is what you would expect. What puts Wendy's at a higher place than some of the others is their classic frozen treat: Frosties. Amazing desserts.”

“Delivery has really amped up during the pandemic from many restaurants. Panera (North Atherton - State College) is one of the only restaurants to consistently forget large (like entire meal with side) items on just about every order. Sure, we can get a refund through Grubhub, but by the time food arrives it is usually too late to reorder just one person's dinner so we have to constantly adapt to a missing meal that we initially paid a fairly high amount for. It is a busy town, but it only takes about 30 seconds to do a final item check before setting the bag out for delivery drivers to pick up. We have missed whole sandwiches, entire soups and their bread bowls, Mac and cheese kid's meals, $10+ 4-packs of cinnamon rolls, random assortments of missing sides and drinks, etc. We keep trying because we love Panera's food... but it is getting to the point where nothing takes away the sour taste left by poor quality/quantity checks.”

“Most McDonald’s are the complete opposite of this, this McDonald’s is always clean, these staff is extremely kind and helpful, every single person. I have had more experiences at McDonald’s than I would like to admit haha, And truly, every experience at this, McDonald’s has been the best out of any one in the country, truly truly great staff, and manager, Sasha especially. It has a nice kick but isn’t spicy as I can’t eat spicy foods. Their homemade ranch is to die for it was so delicious. I got the three piece tender platter. The chicken was so good and the fries were cooked perfectly as well 10 out of 10 would recommend and plan on eating there anytime that I’m in the area”
