“Very good food. Very friendly staff. You know the food is good when the restaurant is 1/2 full on Wednesday at 3pm. Good select of ingredients to make stir fry from. Restaurant is a little dated, but clean.

Vegetarian options: Can make your own selection for grill. Limited protein options for vegetarian options.

Parking: Little complicated to get in and out to Atherton Ave.“

“The food is very good here. I am in the Penn State area for work. I live in Philadelphia and Uncle Chen's food is comparable to the Chinese food in Philly.“

“I got the cold spicy sriracha noodles, and my other half got the spicy beef with veggies. We also got dumplings. 10/10 Would get the cold noodles again. They also have this amazing green tea. Everything was chef's kiss ? Also I did not expect to get that much food! Other places will skimp on the food but they really over stuffed us!“

“I love Green Bowl! I always get the buffet and make small bowls so I can mix and match and try new combinations. I always go hungry and I certainly get my money's worth. I've taken friends, coworkers and family and I've never had a bad experience. You can also watch your food sizzle on the giant wok if that is something you'd like to do. While I don't have any allergies, they are always pro-active in asking and separating out the meals who do have allergies or dietary restrictions.“

“This is the most authentic Chinese food I've had since moving to the United States from China many years ago. I am not from Sichuan, but the food here looks very appetizing to me, and after tasting it, it tastes very good. I told my family that eating these dishes made me love life again? Thanks to the chef for his careful preparation, I can often eat familiar flavors here?“

“I love this place, but it is true their food can be either hit or miss. So far I loved every soup I got from here, especially egg and tomato! It is such a comfort food. They also have other dishes that doesn't seem too authentic, which I haven't (wouldn't) try. I have recommended this place to my friends but always told them to get actual Chinese food, not like ramen. The owner is also very friendly. I don't speak any Chinese but I could see he cares about his customers. He remembers his recurring customers and makes sure they are satisfied with their service. Overall, this is a great place if you know what to get, or have a friend who can explain you about the menu.“

“Two for lunch on a Thursday. We were seated quickly, although the servers were quite busy and it took a while to order. They have lunch specials at reasonable prices (see my photo of this menu page). Food came out quickly and was tasty. Servers refilled our waters many times throughout the meal. Overall a good experience.“

“The food was excellent. They had so many choices it was so hard to choose. I had to really just take very small portions so I could indulge in everything they had. We were there for the luncheon. I was with a large group, and we were there for a few hours, so I was able to partake in the tasting of most of the food. The waitresses were very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back. “Not usually a commenter, but this place was wicked good! We got takeout -- it was wonderfully prepared, on time, and a fair price. Definitely this will be my go-to for Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Man, extra spicy). I'm looking forward to trying the hot pot before long.
