“This was my first time at a Texas Lunch. The restaurant was busy upon arrival. There was a snafu with our order. We waited quite a while without food. The waitress came back to the table to confirm what we ordered and told us the kitchen never received our order. We waited about another 10 minutes after our order definitely went through. All of our food was very good. My husband had the cheesesteak omelet. It actually had marinaded steak strips, not minute steaks. I had the French toast platter and it was also very good (pillowy bread with a little cinnamon).“

“Highly recommend this place to hang out and have a few beers/drinks. I am sure the food is good but I didn't get a chance to have some because we came late. The drinks and atmosphere were fantastic. Next time we are in the area, we will have some food.“

“I like this place. They definitely make a good Ruben and tuna melt. However, I'd rename the tuna melt tuna grill, whatever it's called, delicious. So far, I haven't had a bad or weak drink yet. No complaints with the service either.“

“Stopped in for a quick meal on a Friday night and we're seated right away. Pretty busy on a Friday night.
Our server was friendly and attentive. Our order was served quickly.
Ample parking. Great atmosphere. We paid $31 for 2 of us with no alcoholic beverages.

“We reconsidered dining here due to a prior subpar experience several years ago, but decided to give it another try.
We were seated promptly in a largely empty dining room. The temperature was uncomfortably cold, but management readily adjusted it upon request. The updated menu and cocktails were notable, and the burnt ends appetizer was generous and flavorful. My husband's smash burger and my catfish and shrimp with mac and cheese were both exceptional. I was also impressed by the fresh and abundant salad bar, which I intend to try next time.
Only one dessert was ordered, the funnel cake sundae, which was large enough for sharing, albeit overly sweet.
The wait staff were attentive and friendly, making our visit a positive one, and we look forward to returning.“

“Today was our first time to eat at Venture Inn. We have been going to our camper at Happy Acres Campground for 12 years and never stopped to dine here. Today on our way back home from opening our camper we decided we were stopping in for an early supper. We were not disappointed and will be stopping again.“

“Friends become family when you come to The Tavern! Wonderful owner with a chill atmosphere and some amazing homemade soups on Tuesdays! Skill machine, pool tournaments and the occasional karaoke night. Always a great time!“

“Loved it! Great brisket. They have a few selections made with brisket. I had the brisket gyro. I had to ask for an extra side of sauce, as it was a tad dry. Mac and cheese was good, as well as the seasoned fries. My husband had the oak smoked brisket. It was served on a hoagie roll.“
