“The overall experience was enjoyable, but may not be for everyone. Plan on a couple hours at least. Food was very well done. Meal is served as multiple courses brought out over time. For each course you pick one of 2-3 pre prepped options. Atmosphere was quiet and reserved, decor was mild- food is the main attraction. Staff was polite. Cost was high but fair given the experience and quality. I would highly recommend for foodies & discourage someone looking for a quick, economic meal.“
“This was a great stop during a long road trip with 2 little kids. Service was lovely, and food was great. We stopped for lunch, and burgers, blt, soups, and patty melts were delicious and a bang for the buck. “First time visitor, I ordered the Pittsburgher with pasta salad. The sandwich was stacked 1/2 a foot tall! The "side" of pasta salad, could have very-well been a main dish! Our server was very attentive and explained menu questions we had. The atmosphere was ambient with an industrial theme along with some trophy mounts of local trout on the walls. I forgot to mention a cute little vase of fresh flowers on each table, rounded out the entire experience.“
“Homan's General store and gas station is a small business operated by friendly staff and the most friendly owner. Brenda, Is the most wonderful person who is always working her butt off and eager to hear what's going on in your life and talk to you. I have come to appreciate this so much over the last year as I have been having trouble in my life and I don't believe she understands how much of an impact she made on my life. This is a gas station I will go out of my way to go to just to support the business. The service is what you would expect from a small business with only a few workers at a time. So sometimes there is a slight delay in counter convenience but trust me it is so worth the wait. The food is fantastic and they always have such unique options. As for the ambiance of the store when I step into there I feel like I am walking into my mom's house. I feel safe, and at home. I mean who wouldn't enjoy feeling like that. With all this being said I admire and appreciate this place because it is exactly what the workers and owner here deserve. Thank you Brenda for all of the hard work you put in and all of the support and talks you have given me over the last months. It has been very appreciative. “Basic bar with a woodsman theme, but the food was fantastic and I was able to have a fancy cocktail (James and the Giant Peach). The wait and bar staff were shorthanded but made sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend their Mac and cheese, boneless chicken, and ribs.“
