“Always great to see my old friends at Ziggs (the dollar store) where beer is still a buck a can and the original hangout of the good ol workin man..😂👠look at these two desperados I found there!! Oh yes, some of the Windber elite drinking force.😂😂😂😂“
“This is a small and quiet bar located in Mine 42 of Windber. The staff are wonderful and have excellent personalities compared to the other local bars. It is a lot quieter and cleaner comparably to other local entertainment centers. This place has lots of events throughout the year such as the annual basket parties and game feasts. I would highly recommend joining this establishment.“
“What a wonderful experience! The food is excellent, a beautiful historical building, the bar area is the old-fashioned bar back. The staff and patrons are very friendly, the type of place that no one is a stranger. The family that owns the hotel are great. They make everyone feel like a part of the family. They annual fundraiser they host for the Humane Society is outstanding, with a great basket raffle all to help our ? ? pets. These folks at the Winber Hotel should have an extra star in each category plus one more for community, and in that category, they deserve big ?. I look forward to eating there often. My personal thanks and appreciation to a Community Treasure!!!“
“As fairly new residents of Johnstown, we found out about Scott's by Dam through co-workers who raved about the food. They were right. Everything we had was great. The menu has a lot to offer. The place isn't big by any stretch of the imagination but as soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted like old friends by Scott. He came by our table to check on us several times during our meal and cracked some jokes and interacted with all of his customers. What was especially endearing was the way he interacted with a mom and her young daughter who came in to pickup an order to go. They were obviously regulars and Scott leaned down and handed the little girl a bag of potato chips and she lit up. Scott and his wife are huge supporters of the Johnstown Tomahawks so it's nice to have a local family owned business that cares about the community. We will definitely be back!“
“Been stopping by on Friday evenings for fish….the fish is absolutely the best and the portions are super! If you leave hungry…it’s your own fault! Stopped in on Tuesday for the shrimp special dinner. Shrimp were humongous! Quite a meal!!! Keep up the great food and great service! And bye the way…the waitresses are top notch!!!“
“Great place. My gf and I first time here . We both got their burgers, cheese sticks and few drinks . Great food and service . The bartender was great and made the first impression of the place even better. Bartender made the experience, I wish I got his name . Definitely gonna invite more people out to check this place “
“Another great family restaurant in Johnstown. This place has perfected their food in the 30+ years passing down from generations to generations. We order wings, salad and the Friday Haddock special. Everything was great. We will be back!“
“My wife and I live in the neighborhood and we had fish dinners from the dugout on a Friday during lent. The portions were very nice pieces of fish, and I had a yummy bowl of halushki. No complaints from me or the Mrs, and the owner is one of the nicest people I've met around here. She is very friendly, and she always says hello when we see her around.“
“Grew up here in town. Always having parties and get togethers. Beautiful interior with pure Windber Nostalgia. Plus the pizza and bread are the second best in Windber. They've been there since the 60s so somethings gotta be right!!Parking: Small Lot but plenty of auxiliary spots with a free library a half a block away..Kid-friendliness: They will accommodate any child no matter the situation. And even cut their food up if they are fussy. Love these Servers..Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and good spots for handicapable people to easily access.“
