“I love this place- I’ve been coming since I was a little kid. The food is fantastic and the service is great. However, I was out tonight trying some of the fall offerings (highly recommend!) and noticed a sign inside the work space reminding employees “if you have time to lean, you have time to clean!” and was highly disappointed. These girls work hard to provide the service and food that so many people love, and I find it upsetting to see such a draconian and downputting phrase posted in their faces constantly reminding them that they are *not* allowed a moment to breathe, especially from a small business. Do better management; keep up the good work, associates!”

“The food here is wonderful and they actually make it spicy when you ask for spicy. Our waitress, Swee, was incredibly attentive and friendly. I’m so happy that Altoona finally has such a great Thai place for us to go to. We will be back! Oh we had the green curry and pad thai with crispy chicken as well as the Tom kha and Tom yum. The Thai tea is sooooo rich and delicious too. I could go and on and on. I’m usually very picky with my Thai food.”

“My son Owen had been here before and had good things to say about it. We went for dinner as a family and were immediately greeted and asked if we had been there before, to which my wife and I said no. We were treated to some beer samples, which were good! Service was great, food was prompt and fresh! We also got the light flight of beers. The pale ale was probably my favorite. I also tasted the barleywine and IPA, which were also very good. My wife liked the Wit and the kolsch was her favorite. My youngest son tried two of the soda flavors, but didn’t love either one. It would be awesome to have a draft root beer as an option. Thumbs up to this business. We’ll be back to try some more of the culinary creations and craft beers.”

“If you love that 50s/60's feel, then this place is for you! A large variety of frozen treats are to be had. They feature different flavors of frozen custard daily/weekly. A mini golf course is located behind the building if you're seeking some fun with your sweet treats.”

“Stopped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. From the outside, Knickerbocker has that neighborhood corner bar feel that seems to beckon you in for a cool one. Once inside the bar, though, the atmosphere is very 1920s probation era swank, bold burgundy painted walls, black and white photos of public figures, a very well stocked bar and a menu full of curiosities. I love places like this. The bartender was quite friendly and attentive, making small talk with the local lunch crowd. I kept things simple and grabbed a super smash burger and Lager. The burger was juicy and delicious, think if someone hand crafted a Big Mac but with only the finest ingredients. The chips which appeared to be house made were great
as well. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience sitting in the courtyard, not quite the time of year for that anymore. To sum it up, Knickerbocker Tavern is an awesome joint, if I lived in Altoona this would definitely be one of my regular spots. I'll be sure to tell anyone heading that way to stop in”

“It had been a while since we had gotten pizza from Steve-O’s, which turns out was a big mistake on our part. We picked up a full sheet on our way home yesterday. Called ahead and it was ready within 15 minutes. The pizza was very good! I remember liking it in the past, but yesterday I loved it! We’ll be making a point to pick up from here more often.”

“Had to try the hotel pizza - pleasantly surprised - quite tasty! Very fresh - crust was very nice, yellow cheese may look odd, but was creamy and worked for the slice well. Wish I lived closer - I’d be stopping for lunch frequently. Look forward to returning. Owner and employees were very friendly, it’s great to thoroughly enjoy an experience in a small town restaurant with fresh ingredients, good people. Neat memorobelia on the walls, too.
