“My new favorite Cafe!! The doughnuts are so fresh and delicious but I’ve never been as excited for a coffee in my life as I was to see the mint chocolate chip frappe. And it was even more delicious than I’d hoped. Can’t wait to come back!”

“An elegant dining experience while keeping with the essence of the historic Capital Hotel. Staff was very friendly and cordial. Our waitress went out of her way to guide me through some gluten free options. I took the sriracha burger special and it was excellent. My wife and cousin had a scallop entree that was delicious. If you’re looking to upscale your dining experience here’s the place to go.”

“Such a great, local place for breakfast, lunch, or just really good coffee. Their food is freshly made (and the bread is incredible, especially the English muffin bread), and the people working there couldn't possibly be nicer. I also have no idea where they get their decaf roast, but it's so, so good. And I hate decaf! This is our favorite hometown eatery, and we come as often as we can.Parking: Parking can be hard to find in the main road, so definitely check out the side-streets! Bring quarters for the meter!Kid-friendliness: Love bringing our daughter here on school breaks and weekends, she likes this place as much as we do and she's 10.”

“We happened to be in town on Mondayevening and needed to stop for a quick dinner somewhere. Being Monday, most of the family friendly eateries were closed, and we didn't want fast food or a chain. So we checked out the menu online, and decided to give it a go. We sat down and had food on the table pretty quickly. The 12 year old loved his shrimp basket with onion rings. The one year old demolished the chicken tenders, my salad was awesome (nice mixed greens, not iceberg, with fresh broccoli and veggies), and my hubs said the wings were excellent. The fresh cut fries were really nice. We fed the family for about 50 bucks (including a Blue Moon), with leftovers, and everyone was happy. We were the only family there, as this is definitely more bar than restaurant, but everyone was nice. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.”

“My son and I visited the Hollidaysburg/Altoona area after placing the winning bid on an auction package benefitting a non-profit organization. Included in this “Altoona Adventure” package was a 2 night stay at Allegheny Street Bed & Breakfast. This non-profit is near and dear to our hearts, so kudos were already in order for the generous donation. I’d hate to sound like a broken record, so I will keep it brief and say that the numerous reviews describing warm and accommodating hosts, delicious breakfasts and immaculate rooms, are spot on. I spent most of my time at breakfast trying to take in every detail of the beautiful space, filled with instruments and antiques. We stayed in the Megan Rice room, which was cozy, quiet and utterly lovely. We enjoyed the stroll along Allegheny Street to check out the charming shops, cafes and restaurants. The location was convenient to many attractions (Everett Railroad, Chimney Rock Park, Horseshoe Curve, Railroaders Memorial Museum, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, Boyer Candy Factory). Honestly, we just left, and I am already looking for reasons to go back. Jyoti is a gem of a host. Highly recommend.”

“A quaint place for brunch!! The food is spot on, and the prices are very reasonable. On a busy holiday weekend, I waited about 30 minutes for a table. The wait staff were attentive. The food menu denoted vegetarian and gluten free options. There are little shops nearby to visit and plenty of street parking.”

“This is a little family restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Our waitress was so pleasant. She got our drinks and remembered my lemons for my water. My daughter and I both ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. Oh my gosh! It was delicious. Definitely home made. I ended up taking half home with me. We also got dessert to go. She got the apple dumpling and I got the carrot cake. They were spot on. Definitely worth stopping to check it out. You won't be disappointed.Parking: Didn't have any issues with finding a parking spot.”

“7/24/23 my family scheduled a ride on the Everett railroads Ice cream tour, celebrating nannys 90th bday, with all the kids i figured I'd better bring more than just their ice cream (their farm raised and can eat ?) I called the train station and ask if it was allowed and where to go to grab a decent pizza and they referred us to Best way, even gave me the number. I'm in centre hall so it's a good hrs drive but only a mile from the train. I called right before I left and told them my est. Arrival time. Ordered 1 veggie, 1 meat lovers light sauce, 1 pepperoni, and a cheese.. all extra large, pulled in and entered immediately noticed how clean, spacious and welcoming the staff was. They just pulled the last one and i grabbed 2- 2liters and asked for 20 cups, plates, and napkins if they had them. I was willing to pay for them but they tossed em in no charge an helped bag it even offering to help get me out the door. This was my 1st time trying Best way an it was really good, I'd put it alongside pizza hut or dominions, its not gourmet wood brick oven or extra fancy but nonetheless good pizza. My husband likes light sauce and he was beyond pleased and mentioned a cpl times that it was perfect, just the right amount of sauce. nanny an a few others agreed, it's pizza, the kids didn't taste it as they shoved it in but were eating quite an complainant free so that was them agreeing. We had 14 adults an 6 kiddos..I ended up spending about $4.40 per person without tip 6.50ish with and i think that is extremely reasonable. They did an excellent job with timing and were extremely helpful,.. made you feel welcomed an comfortable. My husband said put that meat upfront..he'd planned snacking on the way home and wished we had a best way pizza around us. I'm limited to only those 4 items but they were all delicious and if we get down that way again I'll definitely be stopping by to grab 1 Or few ! Thank you again for being so prompt and helpful and for our scrumptious lunch. We'll be back at some point.”

“I always go there every Friday with my dad, and they're almost never busy and they don't take long to prepare their food. Staff is very friendly and food is always good. Usually what I get there is very good, especially their loaded potato soup and their salads. You may want to ask for the dressing on the side if you don't want a lot of it on the salad though. Highly recommend!”
