“i visited this place the day after four chord festival in July during that insane heat wave. needless to say, I was extremely dehydrated and needed SOMETHING. I literally have never had such a fresh, pure tasting smoothie in my life. I felt sooo good after having one, that I came back for a second one. I cannot stress how much this place is a must-visit every time I come to Pittsburgh from the mason-dixon. 5 stars isn't enough.“

“Just discovered that they’re open til 7pm on Mondays!(not sure of the rest of the week). I really thought they had shorter hours. i.e. no evening hours during the week.

I was craving a smoothie and was out of produce and feeling lazy. Live Fresh solved my problem but then created a new one…I couldn’t figure out which smoothie to get!

I like the pitaya plunge. I wanted something tropical so I got the jungle fever with coconut milk, banana, mango, and pineapple. I drank the whole thing by the time I got home. The other one I wanted to try has cinnamon and vanilla in it. I forget what else.

They also sell cups of fruit which I bought. Maybe I won’t be lazy tomorrow and will make my own smoothie.“

“I often work remotely from my laptop, and this shop has always been my go-to after moving to the Southside in 2020. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and the baristas are extra attentive and caring. I love this spot so much so that after two years of being a "regular" I started working here part time. As a customer turned employee, I can honestly say that being behind the counter is just as amazing as my experience from the other side of the bar. Lavinia puts so much heart into every detail and cares deeply about fostering a sense of community within the shop (for both employees and customers). I visited recently and ordered their classic Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse, and it was hands down one of the best boba experiences I’ve had. The drink itself is visually stunning, with those signature “tiger stripes” created by the rich brown sugar syrup swirling through the milk. But it’s not just about the looks—this drink delivers on taste!

The brown sugar flavor is deep and caramel-like, blending perfectly with the cold, fresh milk for a creamy, indulgent sip. The tapioca pearls are warm and chewy, cooked to perfection, and the addition of the cream mousse on top brings everything together with a slight savory note that balances out the sweetness.

One thing to note is that you can’t adjust the sweetness level, but honestly, I didn’t find it overwhelmingly sweet. The flavor profile is perfectly crafted, so each ingredient complements the others. Tiger Sugar clearly knows what they’re doing with their premium ingredients and slow-cooked syrups—every sip feels thoughtfully prepared and deliciously satisfying.

I got a seasonal iced drink & the eggacdo for breakfast. Different than I anticipated (egg salad vs fried egg) but still really, really good.

The gals working held their own against the rush & were so friendly.

My only complaint — and this is with PIT, not the business— the layout of the airport is so inefficient that I can see a lot of people missing this place entirely if they fly out of B.

Now if only we had this chain elsewhere in Pittsburgh:)“

They worked very hard to get where they are in the industry here in the 719. make sure to support your local businesses no matter what! We tried the Onion Bhaji, Paneer Manchuria, Veg Momo, Punjabi Samosa, Cheese Masala Dosa, Peshwari Naan, and three different boba teas. The teas were the perfect sweet accompaniment to the heat and savory spices of our food. Everything was fresh and delicious; some of the best Indian/Nepali food we’ve ever had. We were having a little trouble placing a delivery order through a third party app but when we messaged the restaurant on Facebook, they answered quickly and were incredibly helpful - customer service was great! “Green Leaf’s and Bananas is a casual chain restaurant, and this one is inside Ross Park Mall. The menu lists salads, wraps, paninis, yogurts, smoothies, juices, etcetera. I ordered two smoothies in different flavors. The cashier promptly and politely served me. I enjoyed the smoothies very much. I did not order any food so cannot comment on its quality.“
