On vacation and ate at the Tennis Club in our neighborhood. This must be a tight knit community because most of the tables had upwards of 10 people at them. The staff and customers that we talked to were very nice! We happened to stumble into the restaurant when a grateful dead cover band was playing, really enjoyed that with our dinner.What we got:Chicken Tenders Basket with fries and honey mustard $10.95Basket of Sweet Potato Fries with honey mustard $5.75Cheese Steak with mushrooms...
The food was good but very overpriced. I pay less at Applebees in Philly for more food. The place was cute but you can’t buy alcohol unless you’re a member. That should at least be advertised on the website. Our waitress was very nice. She was easy to talk to. The place wasn’t very inviting. The front door looked off limits so we weren’t even sure if that was the way to go in. It was a very weird experience. I guess I’m just used to the city.
We live locally and stop in every so often. The bar scene gets lively, but the drink system is pretty cumbersome (even for members). Food and wait times are hit or miss depending on whether or not the kitchen is staffed. Would love to see the club go from "meh" to "great" with renovations and better, consistent management ?.
