“This place is by far the absolute best restaurant in the Poconos. I’m not into large portions because they usually lack in quality. This place has both. Very generous portions & top quality very fresh. We dine in Philly a lot. We now prefer to drive up to the Poconos because this place is that good. This place is much better than many big name restaurants in Philly.”

“This place is a 10/10! Our family came from Texas to visit and we ordered dumplings, general tso’s, and the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was extremely crispy and delicious and the dumplings were fresh. Definitely recommend coming here!”

“On vacation and ate at the Tennis Club in our neighborhood. This must be a tight knit community because most of the tables had upwards of 10 people at them. The staff and customers that we talked to were very nice! We happened to stumble into the restaurant when a grateful dead cover band was playing, really enjoyed that with our dinner. What we got: Chicken Tenders Basket with fries and honey mustard $10.95 Basket of Sweet Potato Fries with honey mustard $5.75 Cheese Steak with mushrooms and fried onions (with chips and a pickle) $12.75 Plain Hamburger with bacon (chips and a pickle) $11.25 The food, atmosphere, and service was good, we enjoyed ourselves. “This is my favorite place! It's quaint, comfy, and welcoming. The food is fabulous, the decor is charming, and the staff is amazing. This place is heaven and a must visit. You'll fall in love with it too.”

“First time eating here with a table 8 of us. Food came out all about the same time which was nice. Place was pretty crowded however its wasn't that loud so you could have a conversation. This isn't a super fancy place but its not a hole in the wall either. Overall the food was really good from the burgers to the shrimp and grits to the salmon all good. The price seemed reasonable to the portions. Making reservations again for a table of 6 can't wait. Looking forward to it will update review when were done.”

“This is our local breakfast spot, the food is good with a lot of choices. The German pancakes are superb.We have been here many times for breakfast and lunch and it never disappoints.The staff are friendly and efficient, the layout/decor is your standard cafe/diner, no frills but perfectly adequate.Kid-friendliness: We take our 10yo and 7yo here a bunch, most of the staff are family people and good with kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp up to doors and wide door access.”

“Ambiance (4/5): There’s a huge parking lot and noticed that the venue is expanding. There’s a large bar in the center with several tables toward the back. Our timing was perfect and we were sat immediately on a weekend for our party of 6. The table was cool—made out of a whiskey barrel and a piece of glass on top. The inside is tight but cozy.Service (4/5): The place was bustling so our corner table was often neglected. They were doing their best! The staff was friendly and patient the whole time.Food:Starters: A bowl of bread and butter. Entrees also come with a salad and dressing of your choice. The salad is packed with mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers!Buffalo Shrimp (5/5): I don’t even eat shrimp and it’s delicious! Whatever breading they use is packed with flavor and has a nice crunch to each biteBuffalo Wings (4/5): Ask for the wings with mild sauce and drizzled with parmesan sauce. There’s a light breading around the wing that gives it a nice crunch.Stuffed Chicken with Crab à la Vodka (4/5): The chicken was moist and filled completely of crab meat! The sauce was penne à la vodka was good but lacked some saltiness and flavoring. I had to dump a decent amount of salt and red peppers to it.”

“My wife and I have been religious customers here, for over 2 years, and at least once a week visits or more, and with recommendations to friends to come. Never had a bad experience!Food-Great, Wait staff-eggsalent, atmosphere-perfect. Hospitality-unmatched.We are moving South, but we will be up, to see our kids and just to eat here and visit Vicki and the crew! We will miss this place, because it feels like, home.”

“Stopped here because it was the most convenient when I was traveling. And I'm glad I did. Very very high quality and has that family-owned vibe. And lets face it, "Franks Pizzeria" is a 99% chance to be better than some hipster brick fired oven place. In this case it's 100%. Great placeVegetarian options: Some specialty pizzas are vegetarian. “Stopped in this brewery while in the Lake Harmony / Jim Thorpe area. Great location and big space for lots of patrons. We ordered: - McGowan's Cream Ale - Vienna Lager - Dry Irish Stout - switchback Hazy IPA All were delicious. The bartenders were very attentive too. They did not have flights, which would have allowed us to try more beers, but they had options for sizes of beers. Worth stopping in for a beer or two, if in the area.”

“I live in New York but have parents that live in the Poconos and visit them regularly. For the longest I always went to other pizza places nearby. But as of recent a lot of them are under new ownership and the pizza has really taken a turn for the worst. This place calls themselves the best pizza in town so I decided to give it a shot based on the reviews and the self proclamation. I was pleasantly surprised because the pizza is definitely the best in Blakeslee/Poconos. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms and it tasted very good. Its not NY pizza. But I would have to agree it's the best around. Not only that but the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I placed my order over the phone and even the gentleman who took my order was very courteous and they even sent me an update to my phone letting me know when my pizza and other food was ready.However I took a star off because this place is incredibly pricey for the area. It's actually more expensive than the pizza place by me in NY. I paid $11 for a chicken salad which although tasted good looked like it was made from bagged salad and the cucumbers inside were soggy and not fresh. As this is a pizza place I can't really complain too much about this as most people don't go to a pizzeria specifically looking for a salad.This will be my new pizza place moving forward for my visits and I will be coming back here again for the pizza.”

“Awesome down to earth local watering hole! Nice big bar, Ryan the bartender makes AWESOME Long Islands! All the regular patrons are super nice and talkative. Food is great. Homemade pizza which is one of my favorite, wings are awesome, wing night is Thursday btw. Has an ice cream shop in the front of the building open seasonally. Just all around fun and down to earth place to to hang out drink a few beers and eat some bomb food. Definitely worth checking out! Also they have awesome servers there too. Awesome service!Parking: Huge parking lot. Never have a hard time to find a spot.”

“Was fortunate enough to go on a slow dayMaybe 10 people in the resturaunt, beautiful view by the windows overlooking the Vista. Ordered an Arnold palmer, pork tatchos, Hawaiian burger and the honey had a 'shroom burger, both medium well, one with fries one with sweet potato waffle fries.Took 2 minutes to get order taken after seating10 minutes for appetizer and then another 10 for entreesAdded two sugar packs to the Arnold palmer. The pork tatchos were amazing, if they doubled the portion it could have been an entree. The tots were hot, freshly baked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the pork on it was straight off a homemade pulled pork sandwhich,and a healthy portion was given too.The fries were equally as fresh, also seasoned well, but cardiologists be damned I still salted them.The burgers both were cooked perfectly, the buns well toasted and light in the middles. Almost like they just came out of the oven. The Hawaiilian burger was so good I ate it in under 4 minutes, the 'shroom burger was savory and equally as good.Took maybe 25 minutes to get the check after we were ready, which was the only negative, but our waitress was the only bar tender and we were sitting in a corner. She was very nice regardless.Costs a bit but worth the trip”

“Jon...I have been and continue to be a big fan of China Pearl for over 19 years now. Ur always a pleasure and food is always good with large portions. However, the price increases in the past couple of years and removal of small size options is too much to bear. PLEASE consider reducing some prices ($11.00 for sautéed string beans for instance) and/or bring back small size optioms. Between my bf and I, we order take out about 8 times a month, but sadly, we will have to cut that in half. :(”

“This place is amazing and so are the people running it. Was there with a big group on 31st dec. Not only they accomodated us but also served us freshly made pies and pasta. Everybody loved the authentic taste. Nice to find such an amazing pizza place unexpedctedly. Would highly recommend. Ample free parking.”
