The other reviewer is right...the beer is cold! Rarely do I ever get served a Coors Light bottle as cold as it is at the American Hotel. The bartender Kat is so easy going and down to earth and exemplifies what a bartender should be like. Great service from her, good wings (I always get the butter, garlic, parm), cheap beers, and the atmosphere is so laid back--locals just having a drink and socializing. I have been visiting my sister and brother in law up here for about 13 years. I have always wondered if this place is open. Wonder no more. I am giving it 5 stars because it is a sight to behold. It is probably one of the last places in America you can smoke inside, classy. That said I do not smoke. The four guys st the bar each had a lit Marlboro Red. No pansy brands here.
