Pamela's is a Pittsburgh staple for a hearty, diner style breakfast. You don't come here for health food, you come here for greasy deliciousness - and always leave full. The Pamela's in Shadyside is one large windowless room with a drop ceiling and three columns of tables. There's a serving station and kitchen window in the back. One of my favorite food places in Shadyside. Almost like a must go for me during weekend brunch. My favorite and go-to are their home fries- crispy and well seasoned. But otherwise their menu is pretty typical of a diner menu, eggs, bacon, toast, etc. their hot cakes are good as well, crunchy edges with the sweet syrup. Spacious seating, but I would be wary of how busy it gets in the morning. Friendly staff and quick service times. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Great spot! Went on a Sunday morning and it was busy with a list to sign in on. However we were quickly called up, service was kind and great, and the food was fantastic, what you want in a diner brunch. It was a little loud and busy but once seated it felt okay. A pleasant bustle. Would recommend and go again, and not just because it has a good name.
