Second time there, first time was for drinks and second time for dinner. Simply wonderful. Did a bunch of the small plates. Our recommendation is just go! Can't wait to go again.

Absolutely incredible date night trying out Okatshe!! Everything was amazing - the food, atmosphere, drinks, service. The nigiri and sushi we had was outstanding. Shoutout to Romeo, one of the sushi chefs who really made our visit an amazing time. We sat at the sushi bar and he was super kind, talkative, and helpful. We will be back!

Ambience is modern Japanese, decorating is attractive, music level is very high. We arrived for early dinner, 5:15pm on a Friday. By 6 the restaurant was packed, and conversation level increased to overcome the music! Since it was a very cold evening outdoors, we shared two rounds of hot small plates, and all were excellent. Our server Adrian and others who assisted were very friendly and very professional, helpful with the menu. The general manager Tyler stopped by several times and was very engaging. Be forewarned: the SINGLE kakigori dessert is HUGE (and very delicious).

Food was excellent, service attentive, and drinks were very good. One suggestion, if they are going to continue to use paper napkins, given all of the finger food, napkins should be provided with each course.

From outside decor to the inside was a experience. Very well put together. The Hostess and bartenders to our amazing Waiter were all amazing and welcoming. The service was great and the food. I will definitely return.

Outstanding addition to this much needed Allentown dining option.. It was my mother's 89th birthday and we were seated at a large booth adorned with ballons and a note. The vibe was great, and while not a quiet restaurant, it was not overly loud either. Our server Lona was helpful, informative and available.. The appetizers "tacos", and small dishes were wonderful and tasty. My miso cod was perfectly seasoned and yummy. Wings were well perpared and all dumpling appetizers were large volume filling and not at all anemic. Charred cabbage was a large tasty surprise! It was a great dining experience. Not inexpensive but there were dishes for every price point and alcohol was very reasonable. Pace was good and servers were responsive to our needs. As the restaurant had not even been open 2 months there were a few areas to address. A few times runners came with dishes we did not order which is an easy fix. Five spice ribs were bland and needed some MORE spice. I suspect that sushi is an ongoing project and will be addressed with an appropriate sushi chef as the sushi was just ok. Some dishes would benefit from a serving spoon especially since the tables are originally adorned with only chopsticks. Given the fact that grand opening was October 2nd , the future is VERY bright for this new and well thought out predictably great Jose Garces addition to Allentown. Needless to say we left with balloons, smiles and what was a truly great dining experience! Don't miss out as it had a very Philly restaurant feel!! Clearly, management is striving to achieve perfection!

Service was poor. Server forgot to enter food for 2 out of 8 of us, The other 6 diners were done before the other food even arrived! Server routinely forgot bar drink requests as well. Small plates were delicious and sushi was good, not great.

Strength of the menu is the small plates. They are excellent. Spicy cucumbers and shishitos are great. The sushi and maki are disappointing. Cocktails and service are fine, but they seemed surprised I actually wanted a bottle of sake. Brought me a carafe instead.

Noise level I chose energetic because sporting event roar was not a choice. As the restaurant filled up it got very difficult to communicate. The music is entirely to loud. Third time there may not return.

A fantastic new restaurant. My only fear is that there have been so many restaurants in downtown Allentown over the last ten years that have come and gone.
