Tbh you need to fire all the woman in front they are rude disrespectful there messing up the business. Especially the one who bleach her face. I will never go again

We had great drinks and Sushi. We sat at the bar and Casey was a fantastic bartender. My friend has Celiacs and Nay at the door was all over making sure the server was informrd. Alona our server double checked everything with the kitchen. We will definitely return when we are in the area!

We are visiting from out of town and found this gem. What an incredibly inviting decor and atmosphere. The food was exquisite. We sampled many menu items and even the garden salad with ginger dressing had a unique twist. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The curry pork dumplings and the Yuzu Salmon Tataki were out of this world. Definitely unique and worth a try. To top it off, our server Alona was extremely friendly and helped us navigate the menu. With her suggestion we drank the Tokyo Drift and the Momtarai. Monumental scores ! With Alona serving us and the amazing food, we will definitely return.

Fantastic food, lovely staff, elegant drinks and a totally urban vibe. Nothing like it in the Lehigh Valley. It elevates Downtown Allentown. Check it out!!!!

Was very excited to try this place. It's not everyday an Iron Chef opens up a spot in your backyard.
Went with a couple of friends and sat at the bar. The inside is very inviting, modern chic look. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were made right and even got a round of sake on the house.
We ordered about 9 items to try. Everything was amazing. The shashimi pieces were larger than other establishments and very good tasting. The scallops were some of the best I've ever had and so was the short rib. It fell off the bone and very tasty.
I am excited about the small plate, tapas style servings as you can order and taste alot of different things.
My only gripe is parking, we came just after 4pm so we were lucky.
This was a very good dining experience and I will be back. Hope this place makes it and keeps up the standards.

Okatshe in Allentown – A Modern Izakaya & Sushi Experience by Chef Jose Garces

I was really excited when I heard Okatshe was opening in Allentown. I've always enjoyed higher-tier sushi and Japanese cuisine, but finding quality options without driving out to just outside of NY in north New Jersey or all the way to Philadelphia has been a challenge. So discovering a more upscale Japanese dining experience right here was a welcome surprise.

I made Saturday night reservations as soon as I could. Parking was a bit tricky, but that’s expected given the location.

From the moment we walked in, I was impressed. The curb appeal and interior aesthetics set high expectations right away. The vibe was modern, stylish, and packed with energy. It was definitely busy, and the music was loud, louder than I’d prefer. Carrying on a conversation across the table was tough at times, though it was manageable for those sitting side by side. The lively atmosphere seems to come with the territory at a trendy spot like this.

Service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They walked us through everything and offered solid recommendations.

We ordered a variety of items for the table, some sushi, appetizers, seasonal vegetables, and steak for my wife. I also tried a few drinks, and the old-fashioned and whiskey selections stood out the most for me.

Overall, I had a great experience. I'd definitely go back, ideally on a night when it's not quite as busy, though given the restaurant's popularity, that might be wishful thinking. Still, for Allentown, this is a fantastic addition to the dining scene. I’ll absolutely be a repeat customer.
