Good vibes, great food, not too bad prices. We had 2 brunch meals, 3 apps, and 2 coffees for $50.

Great small restaurant in Allentown’s downtown. We loved the experience. The food was absolutely wonderful. We could tell it was fixed by a cheff. A had paisa pork which was like chicharron but it appears it had been marinated in a garlic mix. Awesome. My wife had chicharron that was also well prepared with great flavor and a salad.

Even though the restaurant didn’t have a few of the items on the menu because they’re in the middle of making some changes, the food that was available was really good! The bartender, Mikaela, deserves a special mention — she was amazing at crafting a drink with the ingredients they had on hand. The spiced mojito she came up with on the spot was delicious and refreshing.
The yuca fries were crispy and flavorful, and the ropa vieja was tender and well-seasoned. Prices were also quite reasonable, especially considering how expensive everything is these days. Overall, a great experience — I’m looking forward to coming back once the full menu is available!

Everything was delicious. Even my relatives who aren't big fans of Latin food loved it!

I checked out this spot earlier this year. The food I had was excellent. However, I did find the meat in the sandwich a touch dry. The dessert was probably the least impressive thing I ate, because I felt like the shavings were unnecessary. However, the entire meal was much better than much of what other Allentown establishments offer. The service was good and I felt like the time it took to prepare the food was rather reasonable. I would come here again and encourage others to do as well.

Drinks were great!
I’ve had this restaurant on my list to try since they opened. My cousin went during their opening weekend and she said it was 10/10 amazing. Unfortunately, my experience was completely opposite.
The restaurant is very beautiful with upscale decor and furnishings. Despite how elevated the interior is, the service was subpar. At a place like this (again basing it off the interior design) I expect servers to ask “is this your first time here?” and if my answer is yes I need you to give me a run down of popular items and your recommendations. I even expect you to upsell me (would you like to start with a drink or appetizer?) I received none of that. To be honest I have gotten better service at Applebees.
Instead I overhear the server gossiping in Spanish to his teammate about how another person was a horrible waitress…
My husband ordered a cafecito and a cubano. I ordered the dulce de leche pancakes and a side of rice and beans for the kids. My husband said he’s had better Cubans and this one was way too fatty. His cafecito arrived well after the food and it was cold!! My pancakes were ok and did not taste like dulce de leche, but rather guava (there was a guava version on the menu so I feel like they mixed the sauces).
Our server did not check up on us to ask if the food was ok.
Hopefully, my experience is isolated but I will not be back.

My husband and I finally got to try this place today and I have to say we were really disappointed. We are foodies and have seen the caliber of chef (on TV) that the owner is so we just expected so much more. There was only 4 tables when we arrived, and all were done eating, but it still took 10 minutes to get 2 drinks. After we ordered, 2 different people confirmed we didn't get our food 30 minutes after we ordered. Our food finally arrived and my husband said there was nothing Cuban about his sandwich. My brunch said fried eggs and they were more poached at best. The plantains were only seared on one side and the beans taste like they came from the can. I cannot believe an Iron Chef is OK with his servers wearing a doo rag. Some random guy came off the street in crocks and shorts, then asked the table in front of us if they were done eating and took their plates. This was one of the oddest, certainly unprofessional, dining experiences we've had.
