There were fly's everywhere, and the bench wasn't attached to the booth and popped up when we went to stand up.

Stopped here for a late lunch today. Food was delicious. Smash burger and Cobb Salad with grilled chicken and side of fries. Our server had a lot of tables and was busy but handled it very well and was friendly. We will def be back.

I’ve online ordered eaten food from there 2 times and both were awful experiences. And the only time I ever ate in there did nothing to redirect my opinions. Both times I ordered online food they left multiple things out of the order. Since they were many meals, I never noticed until I was home. Considering I’ve thought of them as a having more expensive food, I didn’t want to not get what I paid for so I tried calling them and explaining what was going on. Both times (funny enough at least 1-2 years apart) the person answering the phone was very rude and did not want to help. The first time was right when the opened during Covid and my mom called and was cussed out and we never received any compensation for what we thought we were going to get but never did. Second time I wasn’t going to let my mom deal with that so I called and almost same thing, but I didn’t get cussed out. Rude waitress on the phone didn’t want to give me the time of day, but I explained calmly that we did pay for the food and it was not in the bag. I think this comment would be way too long if I get into all the details of having to wait and waitresses/hosts not looking at me for 20+ minutes in their front room/waiting room (when it wasn’t busy and plenty of waitresses tried to be discrete glancing at me) and me just trying to get food. If it wasn’t so close there would have never been a second time ordering from them nor going to eat there in the restaurant. Anywho, if your looking for bad service, waitresses to be rude to you, and to be ignored, this Barrel Junction is for you!!

All right... the first thing you need to know when you go to Barrel Junction is to request Darlene as your waitress. She is absolutely fantastic! Incredibly friendly in a nice way. Very professional. She's incredibly informative and knows the menu inside and out. The burgers are made from a combination of sirloin, chuck and brisket and 10 oz!. They have a smoker where they smoked brisket and chicken. Seems like they've got a huge beer menu. Everything is really tasty, not one single complaint only positive reviews. It's probably best if you bring cash, as if you don't they charge a 3.5% extra fee if you use a credit card. Not a big price to pay for really good food and a the atmosphere.

Had a meeting there for work. It was well catered and they had a private room set up for us to use.

So everything really is awesome but let’s talk about that fried shrimp app for a sec. Without question the best fried shrimp you will find anywhere. Barely (if at all) seasoned out of the fryer and they let the sauces do the hard work. Absolutely perfect. . I prefer the chili one but all are phenomenal. The pizza is also INCREDIBLY underrated. Can’t lose going here either in or take out. Just one guys opinion. I’ve not eaten through the menu but the shrimp, burgers, pizza, fish sandwiches have been great.

I'm not a negative person, and this is hard to write because I have really enjoyed Barrel Junction in the past.

Unfortunately tonight will probably be my last.

First: we didn't receive a children's menu for our seven year old, idk maybe they were out of kids meals? No worries, we've had the pizza in the past, it was always good...

Regrettably the pizza was severely undercooked possibly as a result from way too much cheese. After pulling the first slice a vast majority of the cheese came flowing off the pizza and eventually became a congealed blob.
The extra weight of the cheese didn't let the dough rise and kept most of the inner portions of pizza raw. I feel like they could cut half the cheese and make a better product.

When we recieved the check there was a "surcharge 3.5%" no explanation. Is that for the wait staff? For using a credit card? Just more money for the owner? Who's to say.

We always considered Barrel Junction a "safe bet." Unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case.
