“A FOODIE’S SURPRISE FROM AN EATERY WITH HODGEPODGE SELECTIONS OF FOOD.- I am not a fan of places calling themselves “Asian” or “European” or Latin”, which usually means the place has no identity and not clear idea of what food is.- Cuisines are reflect the country/culture of origin NOT a geographical area.- But this place surprisesd me ???.The menu, which is moderately long, requires a some perusal. Thanks for a good waiter who knows the menu???.This is MAINLY A FISH (raw and cooked) Eatery where the chef seems inventive.— He preserves the traditional clean sushi, maki and sashimi ???— His rolls are carefully prepared and not go overboard like many American “sushi” places where the fish are drowned in awful sauces, choked in cheese, of fried to death— Kudos to the very clean and simple Hot Miso soup, and squid salad ???— the tempura is perfect: thin crisp light batter, quick fried in fresh oil, the Shrimp and veggies have retained their flavors. ,, the dipping sauce is not required ?????— The sashimi dinner was fantastic, the fish assortment is great (tuna, salmon, snapper, yellowtail and fatty tuna [my favorite]. The vegs garnishes are terrific ????— the traditional tuna maki is sublime????, it almost virginal Japanese maki.—- the chef-invented Iron Chef Roll is a delightful surprise ????… a medley of fresh slides WITHOUT any drizzle of sauce. The wasabi tobiko filling married the different fish flavors—- and a tasting surprise: on-house fish dish ; mixture of fillet trimmings of what I taste as white tuna, snapper and maybe salmon, light dabbed on a tempura batter (not coated) then seared…perfect with the light dab of ell sauce…?????… THIS SHOULD BE IN THE MENU.Service is outstandingThe entire place has a great dining ambience(What I’m missing is Saki???)Vegetarian options: Vegetarian listings on the menuDietary restrictions: Vegetarian options availableParking: Free parking on siteKid-friendliness: Children welcomedWheelchair accessibility: Doorway and tables accommodate wheelchair”

“Favorited restaurant for their homemade ravioli, pizza, and hoagies. Food quality is good. Gets crowded fast during the dinner rush and parking becomes scarce. Pricing is average for the area. Local family owned. Has a separate bar area. Dining area is a bit on the smaller side. Had a separate area and entryway for takeout pickup.”
“Stopped in for a drink with a few friends. We were welcomed and had great service and were kindly informed when kitchen closed with enough time to order if we wanted to. We had drinks only but appreciated the good service and friendly attention of the staff. We will definitely be back. Thanks!! Oh, it's great that they have beer on tap too!!”

“I have been a long time customer of Aiello’s in Squirrel Hill, going back to when Giuseppe opened the shop and this was my first visit to the North location. I was not disappointed. I stopped to get a pizza before going to watch the Super Bowl with friends. There was plenty of room to park in the parking lot. As I entered, I noticed the brightly lit dining room with plenty of seating available. I had called ahead, and my pizza was ready on my arrival. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location accepted credit cards, because the Squirrel Hill location is cash only. I paid for the pizza and proceeded to my friends’ house. The pizza itself was pretty much identical to what is served in Squirrel Hill. There was plenty of red sauce, but not overpowering. With just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni as well. The consistency of the dough was as expected, not chewy, but also not overdone. Overall, the taste was exactly the same as I was used to from Squirrel Hill. I would not hesitate to get a pizza from this location again!Parking: Right off of the main roadway, it can hold approximately 15-20 cars.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn’t notice any steps from the exterior to the interior, so I think it would be easily accessible in a wheelchair.”

“Love the place. Food is generally good, a few improvements could be made here and there, but the beer choice is usually top notch. Service is hit or miss. They get slammed, them seem frustrated they are busy, I get it. It’s not our fault though!”

“I thought it might be closed, but pulled in anyway. You order and pick up at a window so no dine-in. Service was prompt and the sandwiches were delicious. The polite young man even brought them out to the car. I would highly recommend if you are looking for to-go subs.”

“I'm not from here but we Was working up there and decided to stop n eat. Hands down best calzone I've had. The cheese balls were excellent and staff very friendly. ”
“My wife and I pick up dinner here occasionally and it’s consistently outstanding. Jeannie is a great chef and equally friendly. I really love the dishes that have caramelized onions (e.g. pierogis). They remind of the ones that my grandmother used to make. Pretty sure that they cook them the same way - low and slow with a touch of sugar. Highly recommended.”

“The regular plain pizza isn't bad, and I heard people really like their hoagies, but my high ratings all come from ICE CREAM AT CONE ZONE!! (Located within part of same business) they have chocolate, vanilla, and twist soft serve ice cream and they make sundaes, cones, cups, banana splits, milkshakes, a type of blizzard, and even more-- as well as toppings galore! My mom and I love coming down on her work lunch break to walk the puppy down and get a doggy sundae for her. The recently added on a seating area with picnic benches on the side of the building that does not face traffic and as of this week they now have a beautiful ice cream mural on the front of the building where you order through the window. We were so thankful whenever they decided to lengthen the hours that they were open for summer this year. There's absolutely nothing like a medium twist soft serve ice cream with rainbow sprinkles! These guys have got it down. ???Kid-friendliness: Pretty sure ice cream AKA cone zone is about as kid-friendly as it getsParking: Located in Allison Park plaza with much room for parking plus additional parking on side of building (Pasquale's/ cone zone is in a separate building from the strip but right next door)”

“We went for Friday lunch -- our first time there, and it was a fish-fry day too. Arrived about 12:30 (the signs on the tables say they open at 11 for fish fry). The line was out the door and down the stairs, but it took just 20 mins or so until we were seated and eating. Well worth the wait! The best fish we've had so far this Lent, plus you get a lot of food for the Entree price. The sides we chose with our fish sandwiches were stewed tomatoes, fresh-made potato chips, and mac & cheese. All were VERY good - just a little bit 'elevated' from what we've been eating! The fresh tartar sauce was delicious! With the entree you get a beverage (soda fountain drinks, iced tea, coffee/tea), plus a dessert.Eat-in or Take-out, all in the same line. Bakery items for sale also (very reasonable prices). Credit cards accepted. The line of customers was gone by about 1pm. Doors closed promptly at 1:30, but there were still lots of folks eating in the dining room at that time.”

“Purchased the double layer cookie cake for my son's birthday. It was delicious-chewy and chocolatey and the icing was sweet! Highly recommend supporting this local business, as opposed to cookie cakes from the Big Boxes.”

“I always love a small local coffee shop and this has become a new favorite close to home. I've stopped in several times the past few weeks for a coffee and a pastry while I work, and everything is delicious and prepared with care (tip: get your cinnamon roll heated!). It gets pretty full and a bit noisy in the mornings -- so you may want headphones if you need to focus -- but this is mostly because so many customers seem to meet up there regularly for lively, joyful conversations. I usually stay and enjoy the buzz around me until I see people lingering without a place to sit. I can't wait to enjoy my AM caffeine on the porch once the weather gets a little warmer.Kid-friendliness: They have a Lego table and chalkboard for little ones.”
“Great atmosphere and scenery while overlooking the lake at North Park. The service is always friendly and prompt. Food is great and there is a solid local beer selection on tap.”
“Millie’s is a local Pittsburgh ice cream chain. This location is a small stand next to the Boathouse/OTB. There is also a newly paved walking/ biking trail next to the ice cream stand which is nice. The ice cream itself is delicious. We got a couple ice creams and a nitro cold brew. I thought the staff was nice and after you order, there are picnic tables to eat at.”

“We love coming here to the Jersey Mike's! There are lots of restaurants on the strip, but this is our favorite family place. They have a good spot for us all to sit and eat together as well. There are six of us. The staff is always so friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. Lately I have been getting a chicken bacon ranch. It is one of my new favorites! I often get steak, but I've been liking the chicken lately. The rest of the family gets a variety of cheesesteaks and cold cuts. We also like the chips selection. There are lots of different kinds we enjoyed getting. I have noticed that the bathrooms are always very clean. We appreciate that! Thank you for providing a great environment for us to come and get away for dinner!”

“Our high school class has met here a few times and really enjoyed our visit. We were allowed to bring our own dessert. There is no plate charge. It was a Christmas party and we had a private area with lots of room for our gifts and dessert. The area was private, though still a part of the eating area. When reservations were made each time, someone would get back to us in a timely manner. And once I had to change the date the manager was so nice about the change. Will probably go back again. I always leave Monte Cellas with a good feeling.Parking: No problemWheelchair accessibility: Don't need a wheelchair but the parking lot is level, no pot holes. But the entrance doors are quite heavy. Could use an automatic door opener for senior clients.”

“this Starbucks is the absolute best in the area. always super clean, staff is also so kind and welcoming. I order a drink that isn’t on the menu exactly and this is the only Starbucks in the area that absolutely nails it every time. I drive out of my way to come to this one because the standard is there and my drink tastes the same everyday. John and Alex are superstars! ?”

“Had to "waste time" between appointments, so I stopped in for lunch. WOW! I had soup and a half sandwich and was impressed. The French Onion Soup was good, as was the steak sandwich.. definitely more than I can eat in one sitting! I did not like the Blood Orange Splash though.”

“As a Pittsburgh native that moved away Primanti's is a must stop on trips home. I love Primanti's! I still don't think the other location are as good as the Strip and South Side locations. This was my first visit to this location. It felt overly crowded, congested and loud for me.”

“Great pizza, terrible take-out set-up. I was told that my order would be ready in 35 minutes; it took an hour. The workers were disorganized and careless. I was shortchanged $10 on my change and had to ask for the rest. The kid at the register had no clue.Parking: Uncomfortably crowded and Wild West”

“The service was impeccable, the seafood was very fresh, and the value was good. We had the baby octopus salad, grilled calamari, and a sushi and sashimi platter. I highly recommend this restaurant. I look forward to going back to try the hibachi items.”
