“My husband and I had a great time experiencing The Puttery for the first time. We had the unlimited package and played five rounds of golf. This includes three 9 hole courses that you can play as many times as you choose. We also took advantage of the food and drinks. Drinks are allowed on the course and each hole has a stand for you to rest your drinks while you putt. For dinner I had the appetizer, potato flautas, and my husband had the BBQ bacon burger. Each were delightful. The decor on the courses and throughout the building was so much fun. I really enjoyed the different seating selections for dining as well. Linda was the host for the Garage course the day we were there. She was super sweet and seemed to love her job so much! We would recommend this place to many and would definitely come again if we are in Pittsburgh .“
“Best breakfast spot in Pittsburgh. Parking: very limited parking but we were there on a Sunday morning and were able to find a spot. Dining area: The restaurant is pretty small but again we were lucky to find an open table. Shortly after we arrived there were a few parties that had to wait for seating. Food: This was not only the best breakfast that I had in Pittsburgh but in most other places too. I had the pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. They make their sausage in house and I went with the spicy sausage though there were different options. I also had pepper jack cheese in the eggs. The pancakes were also quite large and were some of the best I have had in any restaurant. The coffee was also very good and the waitress also provided a to go cup for it as well. Service: The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. The owners were also there and interacting with the patrons. The next time I am in Pittsburgh this is where I will be eating breakfast.“

I wish I remembered his name to give a shout-out because I like to give credit where credit is due ?I ordered a full meal here - I will say the clam chowder was ok...not bad but nothing spectacular but I'm still giving 5 stars for everything else I stated above and the rest of the food I ordered. I also got shrimp wontons, which I wish I took a picture cause they were unique and texture was on point and flavor, especially the sauce was great. My main course was there cottage pie, their spin off shepherds pie but with a super flavorful gravy and shaved ribeye with mashed potatoes on top. Everyone at the table wanted it as soon as it arrived and it was awesome! “Alta Via is definitely a favorite place of mine now. Tonight was my third time coming, and our server Eddie was absolutely amazing. He saved our night! (We had a horrible experience at another resturaunt, so we left and came to Alta Via in Market Square!) He was so attentive to our needs and really went above and beyond! “Did delivery. Ordered the Drumsticks with Hot Honey, Hushpuppies with Comback Sauce, and Homemade Biscuits with Blackberry Jam and Honey Butter. I was a huge fan of the Drumsticks. Cooked perfectly, not overseasoned. Could argue slightly underseasoned, but would take away from the hot Honey. Great pairing. The Hushpuppies were overcooked, so I can't really judge how good they were. The Comback sauce saved them, that sauce is on point, wished the hushpuppies weren't overcooked. The biscuits were also somewhat overdone. I feel that the Blackberry jam was a tad too tart. I didn't taste the honey in the honey butter. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good, either. I am encouraged with the potential, though. I will give them another shot.“

“After several years, still a 4. I started with a drink at the bar and then moved on to a table. It was around 5 on a Saturday and the place was dead except for a wedding party killing a half hour at the bar. Too early, I guess. The bar service was fine. The table service was too, though he perhaps came off as a little less than genuine. In any case, I didn't really want for anything. My burger and fries were very good and I enjoyed the wine. The burrata app was weird (they minced up the burrata?), but it tasted good. Perhaps they didn't want to serve the whole ball? My main gripe was that menu presented was different from the one found on their website. This was due to a recent seasonable update, but come on folks-it's just a quick upload. I was originally disappointed that the burger that I'd come there for was not on the new menu. When we asked, though, he explained (in a sort of annoyed, ugh-I-have-to-explain-the-burger-thing-again tone) that the burger was just too popular. While they still serve it, it's not on the menu "to give customers a chance to notice the rest of the [more expensive] menu offerings". Mind you, this is a $27 burger and fries we are talking about here - not a super-cheap dish that's bringing in the riff-raff. They apparently plan to rebrand the burger as a secret menu item or something. Maybe it's me, but if your burger is outshining the rest of the menu to the point where you actively try to sell less of it, perhaps the rest of the menu is actually the issue. I, for one, rarely order a burger and love more fine dining food, but nothing else on this menu really stood out to me.“

The food was really good and seemed to be fairly priced for the area, although I still feel the area is overpriced in general. The process of getting into the venue was easy and organized. The space was a beautifully quaint and well-used venue. The crowd for a sellout was the perfect size and it was not overcrowded. The acoustics of the venue were very excellent and the price of tickets was phenomenal. If there is a downside, it is the parking, however it is free in the evening, which beats $40-$50 at most other venues. I will certainly be back just for the experience. Amazing work!“

I had the smash burger and my partner had the streak - the mains were great. We ended with the tiramisu cheesecake, not what I was expecting (it was in a small ramekin) and more of a mousse than a cheesecake, but it was a nice light sweet to end our meal. I rate these as top tier, entree-grade wings.As we all know, there are so many varieties of wings and personal wing preferences. So, let's get into it.The wings are baked and then fried, creating a really interesting and unique taste. They are totally naked, there isn't any breading - not even a light dusting. This means they aren't as crunchy as other wings, but some of us actually prefer naked whole wings. Even without any breading, they have a great outer texture and we're cooked perfectly.The Hot Garlic wings were my favorite. The sauce complements the naked-baked-then-fried cooking style to create a fantastic taste. This will be my go to when I return (and at these prices, I'll be back often).The Seasoned wings were very good, but different than I've ever had. Instead of a dry rub, it was almost like they had a light butter coating to them and then seasoning was applied. It could also be that since they are totally naked, the fat in the skin melts and stays wet. Or it could be oil left over from the fryer, but I kind of doubt that. Either way, they were not dry.The Seasoned wings are going to come down to personal preference.
