What a wonderful experience while visiting Pittsburgh! Unique menu with the most scrumptious flavors! The desserts are to die for! You can tell the food is farm to table and pure! I will be back each time we visit!
Since it was our first time eating at The Vandal and we had an early reservation, in time for the happy hour specials as well as the dinner menu, we ordered several small dishes and things to share to try as many different things from the menu as we could. Every bite was delicious! The farmer cheese and heirloom tomato salad with the sour dough focaccia was so amazing we'd go back just for them! Our waitress was very nice, they have you order all of your food at the beginning and then course out the meal. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was properly coursed. The sommelier was really the most help though, he was friendly and helped us find the exact wine we wanted. The food was all delicious but I highly recommend getting the heirloom tomato salad and the focaccia and eating them together. I would genuinely go back and just eat that.
