“Awesome bar, good folks, good selection on the jukebox. I only get to that side of town for my dart league so I only know the one bartender Miss Diane and she's a rock star, keeping the bar clean and glasses full, always smiling. I'm sure the other bartenders are awesome as well! And while you're there check out the pizza shop down the street, nothin like a cold beer and good wings to get the night going!”
“Great place for breakfast in West View and for anyone in the Pittsburgh area. The food is great. The Everyday breakfast is a classic. The restaurant maintains its classic nostalgic charm and is clean. Great place to visit.”
“This is the only non smoking in West View ... If you have to smoke, you can go outside, or to the smoking bar next door.If you want a great Gyro or some impeccable wings--come here. You will not be disappointed!”
“I used to go to Center Avenue all the time when I lived in West View, and I got to know the owner. Now in Shaler, we don't get Center Avenue as much, but when we do the pizza is as good in 2023 as it was in 2005! Family owned, they continue to take pride in their food, and I NEVER had bad food there. I used to get their pizza weekly but even though I get it maybe bi monthly now, I always look forward to eating there. Do yourself a favor and try Center Avenue Pizza. You will not be disappointed!”
“I had ordered a Birthday cake from the bakery for my birthday on Oct17,2016. I know they have 5 inch cake's so that was what I wanted. It came out perfect, Purple, Pink, and Green color's and writing, just what I wanted. The cake was decorated, just like I wanted, and Half and Half. I also called the next day to thank them, it was so good. In 2012, I purchased a cake from somewhere else and they spelled my name wrong! So thank you, Giant Eagle, the nice girl that took my order, and the nice lady who took my phone call, on Oct, 18.”
“My wife has always loved their chicken. However, the amount of meat in the chicken and size of the chicken is definitely smaller. Chicken was almost all fired breading. The food was the same way at multiple locations. To top it off, their prices are out of control for what you get!”
“I go out of my way for this location for a good reason. My order is always right and the staff is always incredibly kind, even when super busy, which is rare. The food is good and fresh and delicious every time (I go about once a week). I get a crunch wrap and other locations will forget the cheese, or give me the wrong meat, but never this one. It makes me so happy thank you to the workers <3 give them a raise!”
“This place is one of...if not THE BEST restaurant in the area. Food was amazing with so many choices with such great textures and flavors melded together. Service here is impeccable and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back for more if we get a reservation.”
“I grew up in Gibsonia, and moved into Squirrel Hill a decade ago. It makes me so happy to see a place like this open up, and bring a different type of food to the area. I went here with friends tonight, and was so impressed with everything. The service was great, the owner is so sweet, and I can not talk more highly of the food. This is a huge asset to the area and I wish them nothing but success.”
“I come from a Mexican family in California, so when I moved to Pittsburgh, I was deeply disappointed at the lack of good, authentic Mexican food. When I found this place, I rejoiced! The food is amazing: made with the authentic basics in mind, yet refined with originality. It really feels like home in all the best ways.”
“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!”
“Do yourself a favor and order the potatoes, they are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The bread is amazing as are the other Italian baked goods!Dietary restrictions: There are several baked goods labeled nut-free”
“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”
“I had the oyster mushroom sandwich. I felt like they could have added more mushroom because the bun is very thick but it was still delicious. The plantains I could tell were a bit old however. The portion sizes are also a bit small. The sorrel drink I had was on point though. I definitely recommend this place I just think there's opportunity to improve.”
“best breakfast i’ve had in pgh! place was packed when we arrived but the line moves quickly. we had our orders taken within 10-15 minutes and food came shortly after. excellent service and AMAZING food & coffee. definitely will be ”
“I just came for the first time with my brother in law, and I was beyond impressed with the food, atmosphere, and customer service! I didn’t make my meat a sandwich which I instantly regretted and they had no problem giving me a bun to make my experience better! They have special sauces at every table and let me tell you— AMAZING! They were friendly, considerate, and anticipated customer needs with skill! Not to mention how quick the food was ready— I was astonished! McDonald’s could never! I’m 10/10 coming back and recommending to all my friends and family! Thank you Mission BBQ for an amazing experience (and dinner!!) (P.S check out the photos of military/first responders on the walls— on the way to the bathroom you’ll see a photo of my brother in law with an aircraft!)”
“Absolutely delicious and server was so nice!We loved the tandoori chicken, cheesy garlic naan, masala fries and paneer tikka masala!Dietary restrictions: Good options for vegan and vegetarianKid-friendliness: There were families with children”
“I photographed Jen & Josh's wedding here and it was a fantastic experience. The location is second to none in Pittsburgh with its amazing views of the city, and the food and service are outstanding. It is a great location for photos as well. I highly recommend it!”
“A great hidden spot, you might miss it driving past but once you come you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it. Great seating, even more so now that they added a covered and heated exterior.”
“I got a Tres Leches cake for my husband’s birthday. I was looking for a Tres leches cake at the last moment and this amazing bakery had one on stock and it met my needs. Highly recommended for Mexican desserts ❤️ 10/10 for this one ?”

“Steve and I enjoyed our Easter dinner at Senti. Chef Antonio created a very fresh Linguine Con Vongole with rapini and brought back his Pollo Valdastana, which was do flavorful with ham and fontina cheese. We enjoyed our time with Holly at the bar and talking with Franco. We just. love the welcoming atmosphere here.”
“We had a good breakfast here. My favorite is the Indonesian rice they served and pandang eggs. Ms. Meisha made sure to receive feedback from us to improve the hotel and food services. Looks like they will have promising growth.”
“They were super sweet and the music was too loud where I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table and she kindly turned down the music. I would highly recommend this little café!”
“We ordered our Easter brunch items from Dagny's Eatery and we were not disappointed. The quiche's (potato leak & Ham/cheddar) and the carrot cake were next level amazing! My whole family were raving how amazing these items were. I would highly, highly recommend ordering items for your next brunch here. I know we will be back for seconds and thirds! :)Parking: plenty of parking and depending on the time/day you might need to pay the meter”
“A high end, high priced, and high quality experience. The seafood options are wonderful. Black cod with a hint of heat and spice or a hong kong style sea bass or some delectable scallops. The shellfish tower was light on content for $80 but made up for with good flavor.Cocktails can be hit or miss and I found them to be fairly weak.Service was top notch and our hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly.”
“My wife, our son Declan, and myself stopped in for lunch around 1 on a Saturday. Service was great and they were very accommodating to our 9 1/2 month old son, providing a high chair as soon as we were getting seated. The staff was very friendly and engaged us in light conversation. We got a medium pizza with italian sausage that was absolutely amazing and cheese ravioli with meat sauce, also very delicious. The restaurant has a very cozy, traditional feel that we loved. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and mad it was my first time there after living in the area for over 20 years.Kid-friendliness: Very accomodating to our son, giving us plenty of napkins, plates, and some crackers to snack on.”
“Very amazing food, if you are looking for something new or just visiting and want some delicious Lebanese food this is the place to come, the service was amazing and the food was delicious!Parking: Plenty of street parking roughly 2 blocks worth”
“Definitely vegetarian friendly, which is often difficult to find in Pittsburgh. We appreciated the variety of vegetarian options … BBQ Mushroom with Rajas, Buffalo Cauliflower, and Sweet Potato tacos were delicious ?Vegetarian options: Mushroom, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato options for tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and salads”
“This is our goto for Chinese food. Our daughter loves the chicken teriyaki appetizer (chicken on a stick). The egg rolls are delicious, and 90% of what we have tried mealwise have been a hit. Would definitely recommend ordering from here!Parking: They are directly infront of the business, about 5 of them I believe.”
