Tried Mineos for the second time after moving to Pittsburgh. We ordered drinks right away and waited 20 minutes, no drinks, so my husband cancelled his drink order and asked for a glass of wine instead which he had to remind the staff to get after dinner was served. Food order was placed and the wait for dinner was long. Italian wedding soup was lukewarm though tasted good. House Salad was great. Meals were good manicotti and stuffed banana peppers. Over all not a great experience. Food comes out disjointed and drinks took way too long.

Knocked on the door at 9:35 for service and was told they were closed by people sitting at the bar. Disappointing is an understatement. Do better.

Love the food and service here! Don't like the temperature. Had to eat dinner in my coat in the back room.

The girl that served us is very patient but others are ridiculously pushing us to leave without saying it loud. Food is just ok. Ask about the serving quantity before you place an order.

I ordered 2 slices of pizza to go. The pizza was very OLD. like it had sat there for hours and then they served it to me. Pizza was hard and gross. I actually got sick to my stomach after I ate it, with throwing up and diarrhea. I called the establishment spoke to a female who stated she was a Mineo and that there was no way the pizza was old. Now not taking responsibility provoked this review, I Would NEVER order there again. She tried to say there is a lot of stuff going around that I didn't get sick from her pizza. WELL, all the signs of food poisoning were my symptoms and 4 hours of this bathroom and vomiting and I was fine. So u judge.

Had large white pizza, did not taste like the Mineos I have had for years in SQ.

Consistent service that is worth every trip and visit. Pizza and service at every location have been excellent. Wonderful family as well.
Ordered 2 pizzas to go and unfortunately they just weren’t that good. The staff was friendly but the pizzas were expensive and certainly were not worth the money.

I love Pizza and I was less than impressed with theirs, especially when I heard wonderful things about it. Waitress was nice but the food was brought out at all different times and 2 of us where done before our friend even got her meal. Pizza was Luke warm. Disappointed to say the least.

The service was good but the two pizzas we ordered to go were not that good. In the words of Public Enemy “Don’t believe the hype.”
It’s a well known Pittsburgh pizza classic. Maybe the most well known place in Pittsburgh by some estimates. It’s natural I had to give it a try at some point. I decided to order a regular cheese calzone (small size) and a chocolate dipped cannoli.
To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed. There really wasn’t anything all that special about this place. The calzone size was decent, but sauce didn’t have a ton of flavor. Cheese was also pretty standard but they included a fair amount of it (mozzarella or provolone and ricotta, both good).
But, as you can see in the photo, the outside was dusted in a ton of flour. It didn’t seem fully cooked. It felt like a calzone with some sort of weird topping. Not the best.
The cannoli was pretty good. It was a good size, although price wasn’t very cheap, it wasn’t expensive either. The inside of the cannoli was great. I’m pretty sure they make these in house, which is nice for sure.
All in all, just a standard pizza shop. Not the best calzone experience. Way too much flour dusting. Cannoli was solid.
Kid-friendliness: Pizza place.

We usually get takeout but stopped in for a quick lunch today. Sat at the bar. Bartender was welcoming and attentive. Looking forward to stopping in for dinner now. It is such a great atmosphere.
We went hiking around the corner and ordered pizza by the slice. It was great. We decided to go back another night and get whole pizzas. BEWARE. Their pizza by the slice is not the same as their normal pizza. By the slice, it is New York Style, pepperoni on top of the cheese, etc. Nice and crispy pepperoni. Their normal pizza (whole pies) are a disgusting overwhelming swamp of soggy, greasy cheese with the toppings baked underneath. I challenge anyone to hold a slice vertically without the entire slab of cheese just sliding off. It’s virtually inedible for anyone who doesn’t like their pizza to be a cheese filled swimming pool with limp toppings floating under the surface. If your kids like normal local takeout brands (Pasquale, vocelli, caliente, etc), they will hate these pizzas. My family of 4 threw it all in the trash.
