Typical Altoona pub atmosphere. Friendly Altoona service. And who doesn't love macaroni and cheese. We also had the cheesecake at the end, which was served like a scoop of ice cream. Oh my gosh that was good. We had an early dinner so it wasn't too crowded.
My husband and I went there last night to have their cheesecake for dessert. We walked in the front door, and into a dark closed off front dining area. There was a sign stating to find a server once you chose to sit in the pink room or the bar. The little side pink room was dark as well. We had been there a few times in the past. At their old location and the new one. We looked at the menu which I got myself to see if their cheesecake flavors changed. We walked into the bar which was crazy dark as well to find a server. We walked up to the bar and stood right at the bar. There were 3 ladies standing behind the bar. Not one person said a word to us. After standing there with my purse on the bar and no one saying a word to us for about 5 minutes we walked out. Still no one said can I help you or anything. The three ladies seriously just stared at us. This place used to be fun and inviting. It now is giving dark dingy bar rescue/kitchen nightmare vibes.

Really loved Pal-Minos and extremely liss that place and Rocky after eating at this place. Not horrible but really chintzy. Looks like they stopped remodeling mid way and just started painting and decorating cuz pieces of the old walls are sticking out and it's just not good looking inside the place. I ordered baked potato Mac and cheese which would be awesome with a baked potato, but instead I got deep fried home fries and Mac. Now this was clearly explained on the menu but that's not what the name of the dish was and it would be so much better on a baked potato instead of the quick cheap way they do it. Waitress was very nice and accommodating and did her best. Probably won't be going back here due to the price, limited meals and not that great of a meal. Its nit the worst place but Pal-Minos was far better food than this place can offer. Miss you Rocky!

We used to love the old location. We stopped in tonight for dinner as it’s been a while and the quality was absolutely terrible. The service was slow even though we were the only ones in the building. They barely give you any Mac and cheese for the price now. The pretzel bites were rock hard. So disappointing. Definitely not the same.
