We stopped by for dinner Saturday night (7/26/25) and ordered campfire beef. My husband's came out looking delicious with lots of broth in the foil. Mine was all dried out. There was no broth, the edges of the beef was burnt, the corn on the cob was shriveled up. My waitress took my meal to her manager. The manager came out and told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my meal. I showed him the difference between the two foil packs and he continued to argue that they all locked like my meal. I have eaten at many different Cracker Barrels and have never received a campfire meal that was all dried out. Not have I ever seen a manager argue with a customer like that.

Server and food were excellent. Portion of hash brown casserole was very skimpy. Cashier was not the most pleasant person

Not happy that you don't have the strawberry cheesecake pancakes on the all day breakfast menu.

Hostess was rushing us with our order. My sister was trying to figure out what she wanted and the hostess kept coming back not even 5 minutes later. She ended up ordering something small.

I love the Cracker Barrel fried chicken. It's a big meal and there's usually leftovers that I take home. The service was friendly and fast.
Even though Cracker barrels are supposed to be consistent, I believe this one to be outstanding. The bathrooms were clean.

All of our meals were very good. I had the tenderest pot roast ever! Not crowded at all at the time we were in. Prices were very good as well.

The service was terrible. The food was cold. I had to yell to get the waitresses attention. They took great food items from menu.

Had dinner at Altoona PA store and usually it is very good. Not tonight! Had same meal I always order. Fried chicken tenders that were re-heated and dried up. Could not cut them with a knife. Also dumplings were not able to eat due to over salty taste. Told server and she says, We have someone new tonight! Definitely not work $15 for a dried up meal. Only thing edible was Mac and cheese l, fries and biscuits.

Soup was cold, food was lukewarm, biscuits were borderline raw. This was at the Altoona cracker barrel on 3/15/25 worst visit we've ever had

I took my mother to the restaurant in Altoona on 3/12/25. Our server was Angel. I ordered a steak cooked medium and the sides were seasoned rice and a house salad. The steak came out rare with blood pooling on the plate and the rice was undercooked. It stinks that the best part of my steak dinner was the salad. My mother got chicken with a double order of broccoli. Half the broccoli was cooked good, but the other half was just tuff stalks. She said the chicken was mediocre at best. I didn't send my meal back because I was starving, and my sugar was getting low. Both my mother and I decided we would not be coming back to Cracker Barrel. With the tip, the bill came to almost $60.00. Definitely NOT worth the money.

Had dinner at the Altoona Cracker Barrel store number 0482 today. The broccoli had no seasoning. The dumplings were tasteless. Food wise everything else was superb. The meatloaf and Chicken Fried Chicken was great. The carrots were cooked to my liking. Now, for the things that we truly disliked: our table was never cleared of dirty dishes, even though we were clearly done with eating and so told the waitress. She came back with our check and still didn't take away any dirty dishes. At one point she was even sent back to our table by the manager , and I clearly heard the manager tell her to clear the table , but instead she asked us if we needed anything . I told her no but I told her I believe your manager wanted you to clear the table . She smiled and walked away . We stayed about an extra 10 to 15 minutes just trying to settle our stomachs and regroup, and the dirty dishes remained in front of us the entire time. Secondly, for nearly 25 minutes of our stay the banging and clanging of sweeping the floors was nearly continuous, and was even being conducted by the manager. So there was no reason to even speak to the manager about how the noise Disturbed our meal.
We did wait for our meal a little longer than normal, but since we do like Cracker Barrel food and their prices we let that slide. However, when you add all of the other items above to the longer than normal wait, it wasn't a happy experience
