Okay, so I love Chinese food as much as the next person. However, the experience I had at Eastern Express was absolutely horrible. The general tsos chicken was nasty. Big chunks of pepper skins, now again I like mine spicy but that sauce literally look like applesauce. It was clumpy and tasted horrible. My wife got the walnut chicken. It literally was so sweet she was crunching on pieces of what looked like sugar. The rice was mushy and bland. I tried to call and ask for a refund and I was told...well it's food and nobody wants your food, because I said I would bring the food back it was hardly touched. Egg rolls weren't touched nothing. And who puts carrots inside crab Rangoon! All around terrible terrible experience. I will never get food at this place as long as I live. Please people if you don't want to waste your money and get horrible food that I promise you won't enjoy then by all means be my guest.

We ordered for the first time tonight. It was absolutely the best Chinese food I've ever had and we've been to many places. The food was hot and delicious. We had eggrolls, egg drop soup, lo mein, and Generals chicken. Thank you so much for the quality food, large portions and friendliness. We will definitely be back.

I wanted to treat myself to lunch today after passing my learners permit exam so I decided to come to this take out restaurant, before I was going to order I needed to use the bathroom. The man in the front started pressuring me to order and I said I will come out and look after I use the bathroom, there was someone in there so I had to wait. The guy asks me again if I want to order and I said not yet I need to use the restroom badly. All of a sudden he comes up front and says he has an emergency and he has to leave, lock the doors and that I have to find somewhere else to use the bathroom. Not only did I not get to use the bathroom, I didn’t get to eat lunch either. I decided to go across the street to one stop shop to check out their prices, I come back outside and he’s back at the restaurant. I think he just devised a plan to get me to leave.. awful customer service in my opinion..

Went here today for the first time today while in altoona for the first time in our lives. And wow just got to say the food was amazing, we have eaten at many different Chinese places. And I got to say this Is the best so far that we found. My chicken wasn't all chewy and gross. It was perfection. And my parents food was also protection. The sauce was also made to perfection. I was about to walk in to get the food and the women brought our food out which was so nice of her to take her time to do that. Well done eastern express ??? can't wait to come back and get more again!

This place was was the BEST Chinese my family has ever had! Being my son's from California & Chinese is one of our favorites, I think that says a lot! The food was hot & fresh! All the sauces were just perfection! My son wanted spicy & that's what he got! I honestly don't know how they have any bad reviews. They were also Extremely nice people! They weren't aggressive like a lot of Chinese restaurants. All around Great people & Great food!! Stop in & try it out yourself! I know we'll definitely be back!

I ordered chicken from this place and it was uncooked & bleeding inside. overall, the food here is just not fresh. It's very dangerous to eat uncooked chicken. you can suffer from really bad food poisoning. This place is never crowded so im not sure why the food would be uncooked, they weren't busy.... it just proves to me that these people dont care about the health of their customers. this was also the most expensive Chinese restaurant I've been to. Definitely not worth the raw food I was given.
We ordered from here because our usual Chinese restaurant was closed. I instantly regretted that decision when I opened up my container of pork fried rice. The rice smelled like a wet dog, and it tasted like a wet dog. Absolutely disgusting food, very greasy and there wasn't anything else in the fried rice; no onions, no egg just strips of pork that were past their prime. Do not order from this place unless you enjoy wasting money on food you're going to throw in the trash.

I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star. I called to tell them that the rice from 2 of my dishes was inedible. It was so salty myself and my boyfriend couldn’t even eat it. Everything else was ok with the order. I did nothing but ask for a refund for the 2 rice dishes and I get told “We’ll I had no other complaints all day besides you.” “Just because you don’t like the food doesn’t mean it’s not good” Who says this to customers? Then I made a point to say I’ve been there before in the past months and everything was fine including the rice and he tried to say I haven’t been there in years, we’ll maybe sir you weren’t there. I’m not one to bash businesses, I have my own small business, but just the way they talked to me was horrible and I really hope no one else has to go through that.
