The food was alright. But if their is a party of like 20. Then they need two waitresses. I felt bad for the waitress. But I was very upset that it took them over a half hour to separate the checks and my check was still not correct when I left.

By time I tried each soup on the salad bar, I was too full to eat a meal. The soups in order of my favorite were chicken noodle, chili, French onion, and beef barley.

Hoss is one of my favorite restaurants out here in the great state of PA. The salad bar is great. Corn salad with corn chips is a great idea. Stephanie was a great and fast server. The host was polite and friendly. Very pleased with the service and food.

I love Hoss's... the food isn't great, but it's really good. The salad bar is phenomenal. The people who work at this particular one in Altoona, PA, are incredibly nice. I live in VA, which we had one down there!

This is a good place for steaks on a budget. The soup, salad and dessert bar is great! The steaks are pretty good but don't have my much seasoning and may not be cooked exactly the way you ordered them. The filet mignon was a nice cut, but my husband and I ordered our steaks cooked differently, and they came out exactly the same. I realize getting steaks right is hard. That's why I rated it a 3. It's a great place for families.

Nice budget friendly steak house with a good salad bar.
The food was perfect, as it always is at this location. The only sour note was a baby screaming for a few minutes.
Depending on your wait(er)(est) depends on if you'll get all the food you order and the wait between payment and drinks and boxes 1.5 hrs for salad bar, 2 plates in before drinks arrived. The food ordered smelled like something I give to my dogs (bagged dog food)!!
