We experienced the knickerbocker Tavern for the first time today. It was absolutely amazing, food, drink, atmosphere, service ( thanks Jake!) We'll definitely be back! 10 out of 10!!

I ordered a medium rare steak and mashed potatoes and green beans and my girlfriend ordered a fried chicken sandwich and fries. The steak came back WAY past well done and dry with cold potatoes and not to mention the stale beans. Also the chicken sandwich came back not fully cooked and the fries was moldy. 100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Local tavern with a laid back vibe. Small but decent bar area. Separate dining room felt a little cold (not temperature wise). Good craft beer selection. Food was OK. The people were friendly and service was great.

Stopped in after a Penn State game and all I can say is damn...the bourbon selection is off the chart and every dish we tried was top notch. This may be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I'll drive and hour and half again, no doubt.

Stopped here while I was in Altoona for one night during a work trip. The service from the bartender was fantastic, and I loved his recommendation of their specialty Old Fashioned. Great menu options, and the food was very good. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Altoona area!

We were so excited to be seated outside as we traveled to Altoona with our dog. The server come out with a water bowl which was greatly appreciated! Our children used the outdoor space playing tag and everything we ordered was fabulous. Specifically the prime rib sandwich and the Cuban were fantastic and the boys split a plain smashburger!!!! We sincerely enjoyed our choice to have our final Altoona meal before heading back home.
