We were in town visiting for a conference, and wanted to check out local places. Levity had incredible service and a welcoming environment. On top of that, every beer we tried was awesome! We appreciated the staff being super friendly and their knowledge of their taps. The Life is Beach was especially delicious and smooth. We’ll definitely be back when I’m the area!

Great ambiance. A lot of space to spread out. The draft selection has a large variety of sour, stout, ales, and of course IPAs. The food is pretty good, but seems overpriced. We just stick with beer.

We hosted a small wedding reception at Levity in December. It was wonderful. The staff was so welcoming and accomodating…the atmosphere was perfect … guests loved it! I highly recommend holding events at Levity or just going in for a brew and great

Top shelf all the way. Comfortable friendly atmosphere. A bonus for those so choosing is a nice selection of gluten free drink and food.

Really looked forward to trying this place on my second trip through Altoona. The beers we had were tasty, the gyro was very good , its pita (naan) was fresh and hot and though the meat was a touch dry the sauce, cheese and fresh veggies more than made for a great sandwich. The chili Mac n cheese arrived without the chili and the cheese sauce was thin and uninspired. We didn't decide to complain about the lack of chili as the gentleman behind the bar, who was very grumpy seemed overwhelmed. He was very short and seemed annoyed at any questions we asked. Given we had never been there, they had an extensive list and a lot of beers kicked and unavailable, we wanted to get some insight as to the available beers and and suggestions, he was having none of it. We closed our tab and moved on, I'm not sure if the bartender was an owner or just an employee but the service deterred is from wanting to stay and try more of their beers.

A few weeks ago we checked out Altoona, PA and had a nice meal at Levity Brewing Co - Altoona. If you’re looking to grab a craft beer, fun cocktail, and/or bite to eat with a cool vibe then this place is definitely worth checking out.

I am really happy places like Levity exist in Altoona since they bring a bit of levity to the sort of slow town of Altoona (see what I did there?...I'm sorry). The beer is pretty good, has a huge selection, and is at a good price! Same goes for the food, which is served in large portions and usually covered in salt and cheese - which is just what you want from a brewery! I love the inside which has beautiful hardwood floors and exposed brick, giving a refurbished nod to Altoona's history. Service is fast and staff are very nice. They give it a small town feel in being welcoming and making sure you feel like your needs are met. Come here for some good food and beer and then explore downtown afterwards!
