What a special restaurant! I came here twice in one week and the food was excellent, highly recommend the mousaka and the feta and spinach omelet. And grape leaves for $1, incredible. Casey, our waitress, could not have been a more gracious host, she lights up the room with her kindness and hospitality. If you’re in Altoona, this is a must visit!
My relative brought us here for dinner and this place was absolutely fabulous! The portions are large and fantastic tasting. Service was outstanding as the server made it a point to take apart our Gyro to go so it doesn't get soggy and it would be easier to heat up. She was also very knowledgeable and quick, no waiting at all.

Food is good just little to much lettuce for my liking. Otherwise the meat cooked perfect.

Food was good all around for our party of four. Beware the giant gyros LOL. No skimping on the good stuff.

If you want authentic Greek food this is as close as you will get. As a younger woman I remember when this place first opened in the Juniata section of town. So with high expectations I traveled to the hold wash house on Union. I will return despite a few small issues. The hummus was very good but the ratio of hummus and pita forced us to order more pita so we could finish the dish. The first salad was topped with chicken when steak was ordered and lacked the correct dressing. The dolmades and the original gyro (lamb/beef) were delicious. They were out of baba ghanoush. The server had great enthusiasm and was super friendly but very loud when speaking, leaving her voice to carry in the small dining area, next time take out!
Parking: The restaurant is in a building that is shared by other businesses and the parking lot is shared and a tad narrow.

Authentic Greek food in a casual atmosphere. Everything is exceptionally clean and has a comfortable feel. It was apparent from the other patrons that many "locals" frequent this establishment.
Both my husband and I ordered a traditional gyro platter with a Greek salad and fries. The portions were very generous and the food was fresh. The beef and lamb were seasoned perfectly, but what really made the gyro exceptional was the homemade tzatziki sauce. Our delicious Greek salads were loaded with fresh feta and a house-made vinaigrette. And the pita bread is absolutely heaven. We took dessert to go and it was every bit as good as the meal.
The staff are very friendly and attentive. The owner waits tables and interacts with all guests. You can tell she takes pride in her restaurant.
This is a stop worth making for anyone who enjoys Greek food or who wants better quality while supporting local small businesses.
