A real hole in a wall you should hit at least once! The staff is very kind and they do the best with what they got. I ordered a spanakopita ( spinach pie ) with pita bread and chicken pepper soup which it turned out great! Defintely give it a shot!

Excellent gyros. Something different about the baklava this time, it wasn't as good. Other than that, I highly recommend!

We stopped by for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I selected the Gyro special as it includes French Fries and a drink. My wife ordered a Small Greek Salad. We thoroughly enjoyed both selections and each was excellent. I was just able to finish my meal and my wife asked for a box to take home about half of her lunch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be coming again soon. If you are interested in good Greek food you need to try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The Athenian Cafe is clean, the service was fast, and the food was great. I recommend the gyro. Ask for more tzatziki sauce.

A lovely little spot for lunch. The inside is a little dated, but the food and service will make you forget all about it.

My server was incredibly kind and helped me decide between a myriad of items.

I started with the vegetarian sampler with pita bread. The pita was hot and crisp, and paired perfectly with each dip. Their hummus and tzatziki were my favorites of the trio. I loved the addition of cucumbers and tomatoes with the fresh feta. The stuffed grape leaves were delicious as well.

For my entree, I decided on the falafel wrap. It was piping hot and extremely fresh, with a lovely crisp exterior. I had the tzatziki on the side, and also added feta from the sampler. It was fantastic, and I would absolutely go again for that alone.

Finishing off with the baklava cheesecake - this was probably the only thing I wasn’t a fan of. The cheesecake itself is fantastic, however the addition of the sauce makes it far too sweet for my taste. I would go for the traditional cheesecake instead.

They have plenty of menu options that would bring me back to try more, and I look forward to visiting again.

Best Gyro ever!

This place is so amazing. The food is unbelievable, especially the flavorful tzatziki and generously-sized falafel, and service is excellent. Truly a diamond in the rough.

Worst Greek restaurant I've ever been too. It's the only place in town, otherwise I think they would go under. Horrific parking lot and the food was just so bad. We need some Michiganders to come here and teach them how to make Greek food.

Guess the owner is salty about my review. As a former resident of Greektown, and a vegetarian, clearly I hate fresh food.
