What a special restaurant! I came here twice in one week and the food was excellent, highly recommend the mousaka and the feta and spinach omelet. And grape leaves for $1, incredible. Casey, our waitress, could not have been a more gracious host, she lights up the room with her kindness and hospitality. If you’re in Altoona, this is a must visit!
My relative brought us here for dinner and this place was absolutely fabulous! The portions are large and fantastic tasting. Service was outstanding as the server made it a point to take apart our Gyro to go so it doesn't get soggy and it would be easier to heat up. She was also very knowledgeable and quick, no waiting at all.
If you want authentic Greek food this is as close as you will get. As a younger woman I remember when this place first opened in the Juniata section of town. So with high expectations I traveled to the hold wash house on Union. I will return despite a few small issues. The hummus was very good but the ratio of hummus and pita forced us to order more pita so we could finish the dish. The first salad was topped with chicken when steak was ordered and lacked the correct dressing....
