Visited the Altoona restaurant for my first ever time eating at any VDR location. The food was atrocious, my breadstick had mold on it (Wasn't going to eat it anyways), but the entire visit was a calamity. Waitress was new, and she apologized for being a bit overwhelmed (understandable and completely fine). Overall, just a very poor experince. My husband and I went to the Cranberry location and it was the worst buffalo chicken salad I've ever had. There were 4 tiny strips of dried out, inedible chicken on my salad. Major disappointment.
I had to fast for a medical procedure and chose to hit up Valley Dairy yesterday afternoon when I was done, especially since I hadn't been able to eat breakfast for 2 days and you can get breakfast all day. Service was prompt, attentive and helpful. Food was top notch (western omelet with salsa) and the price very reasonable. Didn't have room for dessert, but I am sure it's just as good. 👍
