Went to Bridget's for an impromptu dinner with my wife. Took advantage of the pre-fixe dinner meal option. Got an amazing grilled flat bread pizza as an appetizer. Followed that with the seafood diavolo as my entree. Delicious, and the scallops were massive. Finished it off with the cheesecake. An unbelievable value for $43. Always a great time at Bridget's.

My filet was overcooked which they immediately replaced. My wife's fish meal was oversalted, and she is a salt lover. Everything else was as expected.

We went to Bridget's because we have always enjoyed the food. This time was not good. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu. The crab cake was ok. Seemed like more filler than usual. Caesar salad was very good. My filet was not cooked to my order, string beans were tough and there was too much almost raw, chopped garlic on them. I was offered another filet but refused since my husband was eating his. I took a couple bites and left the rest. Bananas Foster dessert was good but lacked much banana. We have been here multiple times but this time, I came home not enjoying the meal.

My wife and I went here for our Wedding Anniversary the other night. We wanted to try a different place and we chose Bridget's. We were very pleased with our visit. We each had a cocktail and enjoyed them. We ordered the “Butcher Block” Surf N Turf at $135.00. It contained the following items for two. Broiled South African Lobster Tail, Sliced Filet Mignon, Sake Shiitake Sauce, Jumbo Shrimp, Crab & Day Boat Scallops “Scampi Style”, Potato Du Jour, Grilled Asparagus. It was plenty for the both of us. It was delicious. Every item was cooked perfectly. We also had the crème brûlée which was very good. The place was a little noisy but it was full and we were sitting kinda of close to the bar. They did have some other separate dining rooms if you wanted something a little less noisy. Our waiter was also very proficient and friendly. I would recommend it and we will be going back.

The downside was coming early to have a drink at the bar to celebrate my birthday and our 17th wedding anniversary prior to our dinner reservation. The bar was full and we got told several times by multiple bartenders we couldn't sit down because of reservations. Plus, they were out of Buffalo Trace, bummer because it's hard to buy in retail, so I rely on restaurants and bars to enjoy it...and September is recognized as National Bourbon Heritage Month in the United States, celebrating bourbon as America's "Native Spirit.” Not a good look for a high end steakhouse. It was a bummer for sure, as we felt that as customers paying for a pricey meal WITH a dinner reservation we were put off. Blah. Not a great start. The butchers block we ordered was just meh...the filet mignon in particular was questionable. Grisly, bland, and not as tender as filet is known for, both steaks we're just mediocre cuts. Not much in the way of flavor.

Server took forever to take our drink order while she was clearly talking to her friends at the bar. Caesar salad was delicious, but the 2 of us split it and it was tiny. The clams w chorizo were fantastic and by far the best thing we had. Our filet mignons were meh. Not thick. Not tender. And some weird Asian sesame sauce on them. The mashed potatoes were weirdly yellowish brown and barely warm and tasted off and had a “gloppy” texture. Had I known, I would not have ordered this dish. Not sure if and when I'll ever be back with so many other great places in Ambler. If you're gonna be a steakhouse, you should do steak excellently. Ambiance was nice.

Bridget's is perfectly adequate for a local steakhouse. Nothing particularly exceptional, positive or negative. The food was a bit pricey for the quality. We were celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary, which I mentioned in the reservation, but the waiter seemed to know nothing about it until we mentioned it, which seems like a obvious miss. It is a small space and can get quite loud. It was fine, since my dad is not very mobile, and we needed to stay close to home, but not someplace I would go out of my way to frequent.

We were celebrating our 49th anniversary. Our waiter was nice, but he forgot to ask me if l wanted an appetizer. After the wrong entree was delivered they replaced it quick.Making us think they picked up the wrong plate. We were ignored after our entrees were delivered. None asked if we wanted more to drink or if they could get us anything. We were the first of two other couples seated, but they not only had drinks, appetizers, entrees and desert and left before we were finished our entrees. We were ignored so long and l had to get up and ask the manager to clear our plates. I was looking forward to another drink of anything and or a dessert. We were sitting in the most uncomfortable chairs so long it made staying impossible. Maybe the staff was over worked, but since we were first to be seated l think the staff just ignored us!It is sad the food and atmosphere was good. I don't think we will return.
