We have been coming to Saffron in Ambler for many years. Every time we go, the staff is always amazing and accommodating, and the food is the best we've had around. We come and sit for lunches or dinners, and do takeaway often, as well. The dishes are consistently tasty, spicy (when requested) and the naan is always good. There are other Indian places around, and we have tried them, but we always return to Saffron. We have brought wine (BYO) which is nice, too. Friends meet us there too, and it's nice to share.Parking is the public lot behind the playhouse, there is almost always space. Ambler has ample parking nearby.Vegetarian options: So many good choices for vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, and Dairy-Free.Kid-friendliness: Can get simple dishes, and the mango lassi is always a hit (it was with our kid when she was little)

We had a horrible food experience today with this restaurant. We ordered malai kofta although base curry was okay but kofta didn’t have any salt and taste. Chicken biryani was not even biryani but some random curry mixed with rice with lots of kewada water. Not coming back for sure.

Has to be my worst experience with Indian food. Please don’t order biryani from this place. The restaurant should be ashamed of serving something as bad as tossed boiled rice in some masala & calling it a biryani.

I have been traveled to the north Wales area of Pennsylvania on business trips for the last three years. As a peaky Indian, who is extremely finicky about Indian food, I can wholeheartedly give this place five stars. The food is authentic, the service is great, and the ambience is pleasant, I keep going back to this restaurant They also change up their menu pretty frequently. It’s always a pleasure to try the new and interesting items recommended by the owner. Keep up the great work guys!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. So reliable for delicious food and excellent service. Too many excellent items to pick a favorite, but the lamb chops and butter chicken are often what I recommend to first timers. And samosas of

Been coming to Saffron for many years. Food and service is always exceptional and consistent. We get our standard for the most part which is the Gobi Manchirian, Tandoori Salmon Tikka w/ a side of Masala sauce and Garlic Naan paired with a good bottle of wine. Highly recommend for some good India food in the Ambler area.

Saffron is the best Indian food in Ambler. My mom and I went for a nice dinner and we both really enjoyed the onion bhaji as an appetizer. The lamb korma is also very delicious paired with the onion nan. The spice level is made just how you ask for it, and the portion sizes are good. The service is also exceptional and the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. Highly recommend if you're in Ambler (or the surrounding area) and are looking for Indian food.

My husband wants to try out this Indian restaurant for our belated Valentine’s dinner. I didn’t realize it was a chain until I started searching online for food pics.We parked in the parking lot a block behind the restaurant. 6pm-8pm were free parking. And with little walk to the restaurant during this winter cold weather.First impression when I arrived, this looks like a mom & pop shop. It seems quite small. So i would suggest maybe making a reservation ahead of time would be ideal.Service was excellent! Food was pretty good. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meal. Although both of us agreed that another Indian restaurant around our house tastes better, but this place ain’t too bad. We ordered 2 mango lassi once we arrived. Before my husband placed the food order, he already pretty much kill that drink off. It was just good!!Definitely worth a try.Note: For $30+ if you pay with cash, there is 10% off your subtotal.
