Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, great coffee-we're so happy that we stopped in on a whim! Love Ambler all together but, Sweet Briar Cafe stands out!

I had a very disappointing experience. We ordered soft serve and four sundaes, but the staff gave us the soft serve first and then slowly started making the sundaes. By the time they had finished just two of the sundaes, the soft serve had already melted. When we asked about the remaining sundaes, they seemed confused and asked why we were still waiting — only then did they realize they had forgotten two of our sundaes entirely.

To make matters worse, when we finally got home, we found a short black hair in one of the sundaes. That completely ruined the experience and raised serious concerns about hygiene.

This level of service and cleanliness is unacceptable, and I hope management addresses these issues seriously.

I stopped for ice cream with my mother who is 93 years old but we weren’t permitted to sit at the table in the shade. We were told that it is only if we ordered food. There was absolutely no one else there and so we had to leave. Very poor customer service. Will never go back!

Best breakfast in Montco, won’t entertain any other opinions. Seriously, the food at the Sweet Briar is amazing and the atmosphere is even better. Sometimes I literally dream of the Philly omelette and the Greek omelette. The ice cream is delicious and they always have fun specials, my daughter loves getting treats here. Staff and service is amazing, this place is truly a community gem.

Worst service I've ever experienced. Came for ice cream when it was 95+ degrees out and they said we could only sit at the metallic black tables they have in the sun, despite the fact that no one else was at the restaurant. Because that would have literally burnt us, when we tried to find a shady spot they threatened to call the police on us, making my 5 year old cry.

Edited as a response: in fact, we said we were happy to talk to the owner and then we heard the manager get back on the phone and tell the owner
we didn't want to talk. All I'm saying is a place that will make a 5 year old cry without any apology or remorse is not a place people should be taking their children (and I have no intention of returning to an establishment that treated us so atrociously).
