Flavio's Restaurant Reviews
Very interesting Valentines day dinner. Gave poor atmosphere rating as Owner/Hostess came to my table and berated me for sending soup back, which I did not care for. The rest of the meal was fantastic which we knew since we've been going 35 years. I would've appreciated not having my Valentines Day dinner ruined by an angry unreasonable, cranky old woman. Our waitress Devana was outstanding and tried to smooth things over.
ABSOLUTELY my FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN THE AREA!! ALL IS HOMEMADE AND PROCES AREN'T CRAZY WITH THE INFLATION!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR ANOTHER DAY FOR DINNER THERE!!
My friend treated me to dinner for my birthday last night. We both got the orange roughy fish with broccoli, side of penne pasta, and wedding soup. Everything was delicious. Hot homemade Italian bread is included with dinner. We had to sit in the bar area since reservations are required due to staffing shortages. The owner was our waitress and bartender. She was very hospitable and attentive. I highly recommend this little Italian restaurant situated in Apollo.

Flavio's Restaurant is a beloved institution serving authentic Italian-American cuisine in a rural setting. The restaurant transports diners to a bygone era, with a focus on quality ingredients and classic dishes. Favorites include the house salad with sweet raw onions, wedding soup, oyster crackers, and homemade pasta. The veal Marsala is a standout, and the shrimp cocktail is a delight. The New York strip steak cooked medium rare is considered by some to be the best steak ever, accompanied by applesauce, baked potato, and bread, which are all highly praised. Service can be slow due to staffing issues, but the waitstaff are well-trained and kind, and service, food, and hospitality are often described as spectacular. Although reservations can be challenging to secure, the restaurant occasionally offers last-minute openings, such as for Valentine's Day, which guests find impressive. The atmosphere is cozy with a nostalgic touch, though it may not suit everyone's taste. Overall, Flavio's is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of culinary history and great food.
