Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Ardmore

Super colorful and festive atmosphere. The staff is wonderful- helpful and attentive. The food was delicious- we had chicken tacos and a vegetarian chimichanga and both were big portions and flavorful. The margarita was a perfect end to the week. Get the guac! Will definitely be back!

I have been here two times now, both times the service and energy we got from the waitresses was horrible. The first time I went was for a birthday and we ordered a margarita pitcher. After getting our ids checked when ordering, somebody else came back 10 minutes later to check them again (without any explanation) and then continued to stare at our table all night long.

The second time was even worse. We had ordered chips and guac and even though the chips were done, we still had guac left. However, our waiter walked by, said nothing, and grabbed the guac. I asked the waiter nicely the next time he came around to get us the guac back, he refused and told us that it was empty. Basically saying we were lying. He was rude and unwilling to help. He also left us sitting with our plates when we were done for over 15 minutes. The cherry on top was the automatic 18% gratuity because 'our bill had hit $100'. What an absolutely ridiculous way of running a restaurant, expecting an automatic 18% tip for shitty service and rude waiters.

Went in to use the rest room and they declined because it was for customers only. Understandable. I asked if I could buy food. The guy said he didn’t speak English. I asked to speak to someone else so I can order from the menu and he refused. Horrible experience. The man I spoke to was very blatant and rude.

I thought the food was really ok for someone who is from California I know good Mexican food. The food is extremely overpriced as well. I got a $16 quesdilla that was too small for it to be that much. Avoid this place for food. Drinks looked good though

absolute unacceptable service. i asked if they sold bottles of water, they said they did not. i asked, looking at the refrigerator “what is that (on the shelf)?” the server answered “seltzer water”.

i asked if i could pay with apple pay. after a bit of confusion, i was told there was a $15 minimum. i politely declined. but was told to wait a moment and then told that for a $2 fee i could have the pleasure of paying $4 dollars for a small bottle of (seltzer) water.

The food and drinks are average. It's good. Nothing special. The pebble cocktail glasses are cool!

First found out about this place in 2019. Loved going as the food was delicious and the service was amazing. However, the price increases are absurd. For me and my husband it was about $65 3 course meal and maybe a drink or 2 in 2019/2020. Now we spend almost $100 if not more after a tip. We used to go every month, but now its once in a blue moon. I still love the food just too expensive for mexican food compared to a food truck.

Food tastes good with good portion sizes, but pretty expensive. $14 for 3 tacos, and drinks more expensive than NYC. Not really worth the price, imo.

wish i could give less than one star, there was a cockroach in my food, that i didn’t find until i was eating leftovers the next day.

I've never been to Mexico, but I have had Mexican food plenty of times over the past 30 years. But THIS is the very first time where I felt like my tastebuds have ever crossed the border into massive amounts of deliciousness! Even the slushies had me swinging my feet while sitting at the bar... And I'm over 6ft... in my head! Lol! I easily paid the total of our food and I would have paid more if they asked. The atmosphere is a beautiful as the staff & possible family members that worked there. The genuine feeling of being greeted made me feel like I wanted to come back next week. And I did! From the nachos, the birria tacos, to the empanadas... Everything was excellent!
