Went for a mothers brunch special they were advertising. We weee seated immediately and it wasn't too busy at the time. Service was great and we received food in reasonable amount of time given the day. Overall great experience and hidden gem for Mother's Day brunch, lunch spot.

Great food and beer as always at IH. The service was fair at best and it would have been nice if our server hadn't disappeared after taking our order. Really needs to get better. This location is always slow service wise but last night it was poor enough for me to rethink if I will ever go back to this location.

They tried to remedy their mistakes but it was a just poor experience. Waited too long for waitress to arrive, waited too long for drinks to arrive, waited too long for food to arrive. Had to get up and seek out server 3 different times. Fish overcooked and they burnt the 1st batch of shrimp so badly they didn't even bring them out. So we waited for 2nd batch. Manager did take 2 items from the bill. Kudos for that. But if it goes that far, they've really stumbled.

I don't recommend coming here. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had. It was the one and only time I have ever left a restaurant and not been served my meal. The kitchen was obviously backed up but the service made it worse for us. I didn't enjoy my time here, it was stressful and I felt like an after thought to the staff. We gave up at 9pm and tried to find food elsewhere, which was difficult that late at night. I'm a parent and I don't have the luxury of getting out much. We chose Iron Hill because we were familiar with the chain and its other locations. This experience ended up being a huge disappointment and I will never come back.

This Iron Hill location seemed understaffed during our dinner there. We were a party of 6 with a reservation and waited 45 min after our reserved time for a table. After ordering drinks and putting our food in 2 hours.

This is maybe our worst ever restaurant experience. We made a reservation for 7:30 pm and were seated around 7:45 (that was the first sign of bad things to come.) For almost 10 min no one came over to give us water or take our drink order. The service was terrible - no one checked on us or even introduced themselves as our server. We waited over an hour for a cheeseburger and fried chicken sandwich that never came. We finally had to leave and the manager offered to box up our food (!) She blamed the slow service on a 75 top table that came in ... seriously?! They accepted our reservation request (and were still accepting reservations on open table!) even though they had this 75 top that just “walked in.” It was truly horrific. They acted like they were doing us a favor by comping us 2 beers and a less than great app.

We were seated for our 7:15 reservation and placed our order. At 8:25 our order had not yet arrived and our server an hour dinner will be ready in a few minutes. At 8:40 our dinner if not yet arrived and our server told us and we're order is"on the screen". At 8:43 we gave up and left the restaurant.

If I could put zero stars I would. We have been coming to Iron Hill Brewery in Ardmore and King of the Hill members since it opened. For years we brought our kids when they were young and enjoyed the place. Unfortunately, I am not sure what happened after covid, but I would have to say, "Down Hill" would be a better name than Iron Hill. While the beer is still great, the quality of food is not what it was and the service is dismal at best. Although the servers are friendly and enthusiastic, they aren't properly trained and there is little help from the host stand to get the tables cleared and the food to get out. I have continued to visit despite watching the decline because I really want this place to be successful. (Didn't Philly guys open the place?) The final nail in the coffin was this past week. Saturday night - the night the Sixers were in the playoffs against the New York Knicks. The place was pretty empty. I arrived to tell the hostess stand that I had a reservation. I asked that we be seated by tvs so ALL of us in our party could see the game. It also was requested in the open table reservation that we were specifically requested a seat to watch the game. First the hostess seated us at a table where only two of us would be facing a small tv in the corner. And the other two facing the tv would be looking at a light fixture that was in the way of the tv. (So no one would see the TV). I thought maybe the host didn't hear my request of tv viewership or read the reservation request, so I repeated it. She then proceeded to put us under a tv - again where two of us would have been able to see it, but the other two would literally have to look up as if they were trying to view the Eclipse. Finally, she said "Where do you want to sit?" So I picked a table and she dropped the menus on the table and disappeared. When my friend arrived, she was told to come find us. She did. After saying our hellos, we were approached by our server, Olivia. She was lovely. She took our orders and brought our beers and offered tastings if we would like. After a while being there, she came back to check on us and and told us the kitchen was backed up. We thanked her, ordered another round of drinks, and weren't too worried as we were enjoying the game. She then brings out the apps. When bam! All of sudden the big TV that was in our view for the game changes to a hockey game. Not the Flyers, they are out. But turned off a SIXERS PLAYOFF GAME in Philadelphia. At that point I heard another customer mention there were no Phillies games on either. We assumed they just didn't know. Again maybe lack of training (even though any sports bar knows it but we were giving the benefit of doubt). My friend approached the bartender who sent him to the manager to ask why they would turn off a PHILADELPHIA SIXERS GAME for a New York hockey game. She replied that a customer requested it. I'm guessing this customer was not from Philly. If they are a loyal fan of a team, they would understand why the largest tv would be required to have Philly playoff game on. (Besides the fact that we are repeat customers.) She did not only disagree but she said she didn't like the way my friend spoke to her. Come on. YOU ARE A MANAGER. He asked her name but she then ran away and left it to another manager to deal with, who claimed "corporate changes the channels." Really? The manager's actions explains the bad service - she has no idea how to negotiate or handle customers. If she thought she was right, I think she would have provided her name. We waited a bit longer but our food was taking forever and we didn't feel like watching a NEW YORK hockey game so we paid and left. We went to the new PJ Whelihans that opened up in the Wynnewood Shopping Center. They were mobbed - all the TVS had Sixers AND Phillies. Seated us in no time, and we enjoyed the food immensely! I'm sad because I used to love Iron Hill and I will not be back. Olivia, get a job at PJ's! We hope to see you there!

Food stinks slow service

We come to this location a lot and it has gotten worse and worse over the past year or so. We waited almost an hour for our drinks to come from the bar. Appetizers took almost 45 min (which they did apologize for 30 min into the visit) but we had no silverware or plates to eat them with for another 20 minutes (and after asking 4 separate waitstaff for them). A round of water took asking 3 times and almost 45 min to get. The food came out VERY slowly but was at least hot and tasted good. The manager came over and apologized as well. We then waited for the bill (our server hardly visited our table of 11) and when it came there was nothing comped, which we found a little odd. So we paid the bill and on the way out we were told we needed to leave by the emergency exit because they were closing early due to poor staff performance and attitudes that night. Such a weird and disappointing experience for a birthday dinner.

Last night, we specifically chose iron hill so we could watch the Sixers playoff game. When we arrived, we told them we wanted to watch the game and they tried to put us in two different seats that you could not really see a tv. Finally, we asked for a specific open table and they sat us there. Originally, all the TVs, but one in a corner had the game on. Before the first half was over, they switched the largest tv in the center of the room to a hockey game with no Philadelphia team playing. We asked them to switch it back and the manager said a table requested it so they would not switch it back. She became really defensive and would not even consider any alternatives. We asked to talk to her boss, she then got another manager to talk to us and she tried to claim that “corporate” controlled the TVs. It was really disappointing since all we wanted to do was watch the game. Our server Olivia was really nice and conscientious. The kitchen was incredibly slow, but we did not even care since we were just there to relax and have fun with our friends watching a playoff game. We then decided to just pay for what we had already and go to the newly opened PJ Whelihans to watch the rest of the game. They have an incredible amount of TVs and alternated their TVs between the Sixers and the Phillies. No random hockey game in sight. It was terrific!

First time at Iron Hill. Our server Olivia was great. The food was better than the average Brewery. My wife and I are not big beer drinkers but Olivia recommendation was spot on and we enjoyed the beers she picked out. We plan on going back soon.

Dearest Iron Hill...I've been a patron of your Ardmore location for a "really long time"... Last time I came for dinner it was clear that your restaurant has sadly fallen off a cliff both in terms of quality of service and food. We waited at our table for 20+ minutes before a server came our table. When the food finally came, it wasn't even what we ordered, nor was the quality on par with the past. With so many alternative options nearby (like the new bar in Wynnewood), if you fail to correct theses issues: you are definitely at risk of having your revenue fall to the point of no longer being sustainable at the Ardmore location. I observe a lack of management leadership at this location. I'm sharing this because I have enjoyed the Ardmore location over the years and I would hate to see it disappear.

My wife and I stopped in as someone recommended it to us. We ordered buffalo wings for appetizer which didn’t have any flavor. I orders the Pub Burger which is just a burger with bacon on a pretzel roll. My food came out cold and the bacon looked raw and the bun was hard as a brick. Then i asked for a side of mustard and the serving cup he put it in had dried mayo in it. I will never return here again.

My schnitzel was good but wifes salmon cake and overdressed salad had her in the crapper for the evening. Wait staff understaffed but welcoming. Had to wait for water & root beer account of no glasses. Waited for silverware also. We were there fairly early so place wasn't crowded. Maybe the new managers can get the place organized and cleaned!! Photo is of kitchen/brewery. Filthy.P.S. downhill doesn't begin to describe what has happened to this place. Brews and bar bites for games gets covered but only because it involves a deep fryer and napkins.
