I came here on a Tuesday evening in October prior to attending a show at the Ardmore Music Hall which is across the street.
I sat a the bar. The bartender greeted me quickly and gave me menus. They had a well rounded menu - typical bar food, sandwiches, soup and salad, etc. There were happy hour specials - I don’t remember the timeframe. Prices are very reasonable.
I had one chicken and one shrimp empanada. These are made in-house. I thought the shrimp was better than the chicken, that’s my preference, they both were good. I had one beer. They had a small draft list but a nice mix.
The bartender was friendly and attentive. The bar wasn’t too full when I got there but some more trickled in while I was there. Tuesday night not be a busy night.
They had a pool table on the side of the bar. The atmosphere was easy going. It was a bit dark in there. The women’s restroom could use some updates.
This was a nice quick stop before the show for me.

Very charming little pub. Kind, attentive staff. Good beer and a pool table. Also, they have very scant TV remote controls.

Food was great. They were too busy to really offer any service (two bartenders for the entire place, who also had to try and be servers to the tables) so had to keep going up to order drinks, food, get silverware, etc. They were super nice but clearly overwhelmed and in this forgot part of our order, but did give us a free beer to make up for it.

Such a cool place for a drink and bar food! I asked our bartender, Joel, if they had Loaded Fries on the menu and he said no but, I’ll have the kitchen make up a dish for ya. So good

The people that work here are amazing. The food is great most of the time. However, the other people can be terrible.
Apparently there is a professional pool culture that kills the environment. I had a friend travel 4 hours to visit and when we tried to have fun at the table with friends, we were completely shut out by professionals. No harm no foul with that.
When it was our turn again after being swept, I asked for 1 game alongside friends and then give it back regardless of who wins, I was given a resounding “NO!”. These people were already on a 7? 8? 9? Maybe even 10 winstreak?
We came here for pool among friends. Not to be bullied. I’m so disappointed that this is their culture. I was told McSorley’s is better for pool so even though we live down the block from McShea’s, I’ll forever drive people away from this culture and towards other places.
This was a sad day. Hopefully the culture will change at some point but I’m not giving it another chance ruining our time, especially when having our friends travel to just enjoy a night out.

Wonderful, friendly Irish Pub. Ray the bartender is so amazing! Knows my name and makes a great orange Jameson and cranberry. We will be back!.
Went in for some lunch right after they opened, had a great conversation with Joel. He provided a great service and great company during our lunch. We got the Shrimp Po Boy and Fish sandwich. Came out pretty fast and flavors were great. Would come back whenever we are in the area

Pretty inexpensive spot that has a decent variety of American bar food. Some of the seats are worn down. We felt that the burger quantity was good but the lettuce was a messy salad on the burger. Beer is cheap here. There are televisions.
