So pleased with this local gem. We had an excellent lunch here, my wife and I. I really wanted to enjoy this place, as it is close and offers lunch (since we have a baby boy). We ordered the fried chicken and the mussels and a wonderful apple waffle-donut.The design/decor is nice. (It didn't hurt the weather was fantastic.) Overall, I wouldn't describe the lunch experience as perfect or flawless. That said it was solid, warm, inviting, accessible, approachable. The fried chicken was great. The chicken breast was cooked beautifully, not dry, but flavorful. The crust was crispy and simply fantastic. The collard greens were wonderful (I think they use real ingredients/stock to make it so flavorful and even "meaty"/umami), but the mac and cheese...it was love at first bite for my wife and me. It retained all the comfort and heartiness of mac and cheese, but there was also some complexity and depth that added some playfulness and surprise to the mac and cheese. And all of this while staying true to its origins as a well-known comfort food. The mussels were great too. The butter sauce/broth was rich but not too overpowering, and perfect with the toasted bread. The mussels were cooked well, and it worked well with the (fried?) onion and the spinach soaking up the broth.The portions were generous, and then, the apple waffle-donut. It was as good as it sounds. It was like the best of dessert + brunch. Simple but amazing.I would heartily recommend this place and am so pleased to have this local option with great food and so close to where I live. I would definitely want to come back, and I wish this place well.

We had the chicken & waffles and shrimp with grits, both delightful. It's BYOB with a cork fee so prepare ahead of time and you can have a lovely unrushed meal. Would go again

Did not live up to reviews. Friendly but average staff. No bread. “Ran out†of lemons and limes to go with sparkling water. Service very uneven. Appetizer served 15 min apart. Portobello mushroom app was watery. Fried chicken was dry and bland. Space was very loud. Too bad. Our expectations were high.

The food was AMAZING! This restaurant gives you the full fine dining experience, in a very intimate setting. Chef Azziza is phenomenal at what she does and takes great pride in her work, you can taste it! Must haves on the menu include the truffle mac 'n cheese, the braised short ribs, the shrimp and grits, and roasted chicken! I will definitely come back, over and over again! The ambiance is definitely date night ready, this place is winning on all levels.

Lavi has excellent food and a fantastic environment. I got the fried chicken, mac and cheese and kale which was terrific. My date had the salmon and cleaned her plate. It's nice having a little gem in the neighborhood to get away from the headache of the city.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my husband's birthday here in Dec. 2018 with about 15 guess. The food was GREAT! The chef was accommodating to our needs. If you want anything specific or special added to your meal ask the waiter or waitress when you place your order. The BRUNCH was delicious and I can't wait to go back for dinner. The chicken and corn bread waffle was delicious and cooked to perfection. The shrimp and grits, and the salmon and eggs benedict were delicious as well.

Just had our first dinner at Lavi and we loved everything! The chill, comfortable, inviting decor, the friendly staff and, most importantly, excellent food. Very happy to support a new restaurant in Ardmore and will love walking there in the spring, as well as checking out brunch. We have already booked tickets for New Year's Eve and look forward to a great evening of delicious food and comedy!

Me and my girlfriend came here for the wine and tasting menu. I will say the food is wonderful! The staff is great and courteous. The owner and staff really do make you feel welcomed. We will definitely be coming back again. It's been a great and wonderful experience to dine here.
