I think this restaurant is underrated. I always have a good dining experience there. It may not be great but it is solid.

Order whatever fried chicken dish they had. One piece came out dried out, and 70% breading, the other was undercooked on inside while being just slightly overdone on the outside. Probably only cooked to 150-155 or so from having been a chef for a few years I would bet the fryer temp is set higher than it should be for that dish. I tried to bring it to the attention of the server but he told me that's just the way chicken thighs are. I understand chicken thighs when brined/marinated/etc can retain the pink color, but temp and texture give it away. No attempted resolution and just brushed off. For the price charged, service did not meet expectations, waters took 10 minutes from seating, drink orders took another 10.

For about the past 4 or 5 months, my daughter (7) and I have found ourselves to kind of be "homeless" in suburban square on Tuesday nights. (By homeless I mean, Mom is busy somewhere so her and I get dinner at one of the restaurants in that area while we wait for her). So we started hitting up all the local restaurants in the suburban square area. We tried all of them and this is with the added complexity of a picky 7 year old girl. After a while, we both decided that Lola's garden is the best spot on Tuesday night. The staff is unbelievably friendly, the food is perfect for us (a few mistakes on special orders but they are always quickly corrected), and the overall experience is outstanding. I can't speak for the other days of the week, but I would assume its the same every night. The management/owner should recognize the outstanding performance by the kitchen staff, waiters/waitresses, and especially the hostess. All of which make every Tuesday night of us being "homeless", something we look forward to.

I was here on Saturday, 12/14. I would give it 3.5 stars. if possible. The .5 is based on the interior decoration and bathrooms. The food and service are not as impressive.

Visited around 1 PM for brunch with family--party of five. Among us we ordered a chicken sandwich, French toast, burger, and several appetizers. The biscuits were burnt at the top. Whether this was the intended style is hard to say. However, I was not impressed with their flavor or presentation. I have had biscuits in the Nashville area (Loveless Diner and Arnold's) where they are heavenly. These were similar to Pillsbury or another store bought item. Very unimpressive. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was fair but not too far off from a fast food chicken sandwich. It did not seem worthy of the restaurant atmosphere. I also had a hot chocolate. It was comparable to one from Starbucks, i.e. good. The group of us ordered a a fruit and cheese plate with figs that was good!

Interior: I thought the Christmas/holiday decorations were very pretty. We all thought the music was a little too loud. The bathrooms are unisex and long line of individual stalls with sinks. I guess interesting. I liked the full length mirror outside of them. Useful.

Finally, the service. None of us were impressed. We were ignored for periods at at time. Our food took long to come out (we had to inquire about it) and came out cold. I suppose it sat around for awhile before making it to us. And our waiter never refilled ANY of our water glasses or cracked a smile. He wasn't around enough to make the request. Also, we had a birthday person in our party and the servers did not sing to her, which may be customary. But he did offer a complementary ice cream that was very good. He was not entirely unpleasant, but friendly goes a long way when the food is boring.

Personally, I will not be returning due to the food more than because of the service. The prices were fair for the area and portion size, but I'm sure better places exist with friendlier service.

It was also not that busy. Multiple tables were empty. So the neglect did not seem to be due to the high volume. We did not make a complaint to try to keep the mood high for our birthday person, but it warranted some criticism. Hence the negative post. Overall, avoid the biscuits and expect sub-par wait service based on other reviews I read.

Parking: This restaurant is in Suburban Square (Ardmore) shopping area. The parking is varied.

Salty Salty, eggs bacon and fies, service not good: had to ask twice for condiments, siverware, availability, coffee cold. My mouth is sore from the excess salt

We had a baby shower at the outdoor terrace yesterday and had a wonderful experience. From the start, Mina would email and call to clarify any questions I had. When we arrived to set up, the staff present was so great, offering to help (in addition to their set up). There really wasn't much additions needed since the terrace was already at up gorgeously. Bob and the team on hand were excellent. The brunch buffet and mimosa bar was constantly monitored and flowing for the 3 hours we were there. We could not have asked for a more courteous and attentive team. Thank you for making the baby shower memorable!

SMALL MENU, GREAT FOOD, BUT ON THE PRICEY SIDE.

BEER SELECTION COULD USE SOME WORK.

I had a the chicken dish, and it was served on this delicious bed of tomatoes and spinach.

The entire menu was about 5$-10$ more than comparable restaurants. The portions were also smaller than those same restaurants. (See Spassos in Media)

They don't have Guinness on tap or in the can. I'm good with either but got neither. Settled for yuengling out of the bottle.
