Bartender and service was impeccable. Having worked in the industry previously for many years was a little interesting and noticed other customers being a bit frustrated by the hostess’ tonight lack of attentiveness due to being on her phone the entire time and not even glancing up while the bartender and server that were absolutely swamped got no assistance or teamwork, great experience overall but hostess was young and maybe new? Idk maybe could use some experience or retraining...
First off, I loved McCloskey's atmosphere. The open window, the lights, and the crowd were great, especially during the Phillies game. The problem came with the drinks and food. I ordered a Manhattan and it came in 2 glasses— the more normal martini glass, and whiskey in a double shot glass on top of ice in a beer glass. So then I had to mix together my own drink in a beer glass? The food was okay. The risotto balls were slightly overdone and the Thanksgiving Sandwich was...
Great place to grab dinner and a drink. With the warmer weather finally here the outdoor seating alley is back!
Parking: Street parking and large parking lot not far from the restaurant. Small fee but free after 6pm and on Sundays.
