I've been checking this place out for awhile, it was worth the wait. The food was really I mean really good. The ribs and the brisket were very tender and tasty. My new absolute favorite is the comfort bowl. It's a bit of a hike for me, but again it's worth it.

Went on a Saturday To celebrate my husband‘s promotion and my aunt and uncle‘s birthday. Unfortunately, my aunt became ill due to health issues and passed out. As we waited for the ambulance, Devon, our waitress, was beyond caring and nurturing. The owner then packed up our food and never charged us for the food. They were beyond kind to us. Really great people. The very next day, we went back and ate and drank some more. Thank you guys so much for being decent people. And the food is so darn yummy.

Drove by, saw the place, and decided it give it a try. So glad we did! Good food, and good service. I gave it a 4 on atmosphere since everytime the door opened, we got a shot of cold air (granted it was 25 out) and other diners were also wearing their coats.

We love Sophies! The food is always amazing, the staff is great. We have gotten a turkey for thanksgiving from them and it was so incredibly delicious. Our favorite BBQ Place! Britt was so nice to our family when we came out for a bday lunch.

This is the 2nd time eating here and I only wish I lived closer. They have exciting changes to there classic heavy hitters. Wonderful specials with interesting fusion and quick stellar service. The price is extremely fair for the amount and quality of food.

My family and I went to Sophie’s for the first time on 10/31/25. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful that we had enough for leftovers the next day… and literally couldn’t wait to eat it! The brisket burnt ends were out of this world and are a must. Cannot wait to go back!

Food is always great! However very inconsistent with times that they close early or they are not doing takeout orders. Even if they are open for another 2 hours. Not a good way to run a business in my opinion

We didn’t sit down because the hostess was so rude after we asked if they had indoor seating available. Immediately left due to her poor attitude. We would have been perfectly fine sitting outside but the attitude of the hostess caused us to leave.

This place is truly a gem. Tucked away on a main road in Havertown. The service is great! The server's take hospitality serious. The atmosphere is a mix of picnic and fine dining. They have an outside dining area and an inside dining area; plus a bar. Kid friendly and very clean bathrooms. The food is delicious. Asparagus, Brussel sprouts, Sweet potatoes in different ways and very tasty. BBQ brisket, burnt ends, and chicken. Sauce varieties were very delicious. There were fried cinnamon sweet potatoe dumplings with cinnamon butter and syrup; very delicious. This place was simply; Great!

The only thing I’d say is, if you get easily overstimulated in restaurants I would recommend trying to reserve a table outside. It gets noisy fast!

This bbq is insane. Five stars across the board. Juicy and fall apart meat. Coffee brisket should be award winning as well as the orange honey vanilla cornbread. Pro tip get the crispy shoestring fries with burnt ends and cooper cheese. You’ll gain 10 pounds but it’ll be worth it!!
