Citron & Rose Tavern

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal tonight at The Tavern. It was especially enjoyable to be in the original venue of the Tavern which is elegant and warm and a delightful space. I’m hoping it will become the permanent home for our delicious local restaurant.

Had a delightful dining experience at the Tavern’s in the original location on Montgomery . It was so wonderful to be back! Food was delicious, had the roasted beet salad with grilled chicken and the service was attentive and delivered in a timely fashion. Can’t say enough times how much it was good to be back in the old space. Hoping that they’ll stay in the Tavern’s original home. The fantastic ambience nourishes the dinning experience.

I was extremely dissatisfied with Citron and Rose on many occasions. Their customer service is horrendous! They don’t even attempt to help there customers at all. Many times they will go as far as to blame their customers for internal flaws in the restaurant. Their service is extremely slow, almost to the extent where you wonder if there’s anyone in the kitchen. They consistently mess up on their orders and even when they don’t, their food is mediocre at best. And on top of all that their manager is extremely rude sometimes even coming across as aggressive. If I had to describe this restaurant in two words it would be, customer disservice. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I am local and go to CAnd R at least once per month. The atmosphere is nice . The food is good ; some dishes are better than others. The issue is that it needs that 1 notch up to be very successful. For example :
1) Must be some bread and olive oil or something like that to be offered without charge for diners to nibble while awaiting a meal. Some folks come from work and are quite hungry. Also, I won’t order alcohol with out something to nibble on.
2) must have specials to attract locals more than once in a while . No one wants to eat the same things every time they go
3) stop taking favored items off menu. The chicken Marsala was many or our fave dish and they took it off. It was a gem and the current chicken dishes aren’t that wonderful.

Citron and Rose is beautiful. It is situated in what seems to be an old farm house. The dinning area is warm and inviting. Across from it is a stand alone bar. My family and I were on vacation passing through Philly and got recommended to go there.
From now on any time I go through Philly this is a must stop and dine..

The food was perfection. So yummy. I had the skirt steak, my kids had the spaghetti and meatballs. My wife had the rack of ribs. Everything smelled great and tasted of heaven.

If you have a business meeting, they have small spaces and big space to accommodate and make it an intimate place for it to take place.
They also have a sports bar items on the menu. If I lived in Philly, I'd probably hit the bar and get the food and watch a game there.

It is truly an amalgamation of different restaurants in one, but two things are a constant. The food and the service are unmatched.

Amazing service!

The place is amazing, the food looks bomb, those who ate around me enjoyed every moment.

I suffered badly, there was no hummus and spicy :)
And another little thing, there is no Coca Cola here, only Pepsi

In short, for vegans, look for another restaurant
Carnivores will enjoy a bomb restaurant.

And of course strictly kosher.

A great experience. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great food, great service and great atmosphere and vibe.

Dietary restrictions: Their food is kosher but seemed to be highly enjoyed by customers who kept kosher and those that did not normally keep kosher alike.

Did I just get served my kids' food in a bun? This time, this restaurant left a lot to be desired. I've been here a few times before and never experienced this. Have I been served the same food as my kids, except in a bottle with too much honey? I came here hungry enough. Disappointed. The hot honey chicken sandwich was a disappointment from the start; it was completely unsatisfactory. However, overall, the experience was disappointing. Good customer service and good food are both important in the food industry, and this visit did not meet those standards.
