While traveling through Ohio and Pennsylvania on our way to Princeton, NJ, we were looking for a vegan-friendly place that stayed open late. Thanks to Happy Cow, we discovered this charming restaurant close to Bedford, nestled in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny range. The menu offered two appealing vegan options — a Beyond Beef burger and a flavorful coconut curry. Both were satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant is part of a historic resort dating back to the early 19th century. Had we arrived earlier in the day, we would have enjoyed exploring its beautiful, sprawling grounds. We mentioned to our waiter that Happy Cow had led us there and showed him the app — which, surprisingly, many people still don’t know about! It’s such a helpful resource for plant-based travelers.
The brisket mac and cheese is awesome

My coworker and I were on a work trip across PA and were looking for a place to eat. We came across this place not understanding that it was part of an Omni hotel. With only a tshirt and shorts, my friend wearing an anime shirt, we entered the property and nobody even batted an eye to us not being dressed properly for the occasion. (Most were actually dressed in nice formal attire). We were seated and greeted by very kind service. Their burgers with honey on the side have to be #1 for the best burger I’ve ever had. We finished eating and found giant chess outside, played two games, and were on our way to where we were going. I highly recommend checking out this place

While the food was ok, it was certainly not worth the price in either quality or quantity. The food was poorly seasoned and poor value for money. Also, kids do NOT eat free this summer. The advertising drew us in, but it’s false.
Additionally, the restaurant is dirty. The floor is sticky, the tables are sticky, there are thick layers of dust on the frames of the wall hangings, and our booth seat had an old and dried out shrimp tail shell hanging out on it.
Our server was awesome and very accommodating - thank you for your hard work!

Flavors and cook were good on all dishes. Service was excellent, our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Atmosphere was really neat including historical items. Our server told us about the history and invited us to walk through the upper area of the original building while we waited for our food. Recommend.

Jeremy was awesome server. Such a great time!
Went for my 54 Birthday.
This is probably my favorite little bar of all time. So quaint. Food and drink prices have gone up significantly. Most drinks are $20. Food portions have gone down hill too. It’s starting to not make sense for a little tavern bar. I would like to see this place have more casual food options since it is a tavern, and a bit more affordability would go a long way.

Don't order the chicken schnitzel. It may as well be called a plate of capers covering everything. Had the menu said capers, I'd have passed...the waiter wasn't all that either... The mussels were great with the exception of the rock hard bread and no juice to soak it in...
