Il Molino
The Must-have for any trendy foody. This is a 100% USDA organic d.O.P. De-stoned EVOO. The bottle is packaged in a box that showcases the bottle and is tied with a piece of the olive branch from which the olive oil is made. De-stoned means that the olives were pressed after the pits were removed, whereas traditionally the olives are pressed with the pits. The color is emerald green with golden reflections. Gigli 100 Percent Rice Pasta
Rice pasta is gluten-free, with a very delicate taste and texture. The pasta must be used with a light sauce that still offers a lot of flavors. Therefore, a good pesto is a perfect combo. Remember that pesto is not only basil, there are many different types of pesto! Delicious suggestion: in the summer we keep a small garden where we grow arugula, and that makes a wonderful alternative to basil. We also uses hazelnuts instead of pine nuts, it really is a great marriage!

This pasta comes from Liguria, which is the region of Italy that hosts the Italian riviera. This is where we would go to the sea when we taking a long weekend away from milan. La bella Angiolini trofie pasta is made from top-quality durum wheat flour and water, hand-rolled and slowly air-dried. Each pasta shape is very unique and adds excitement to the dinner table! A legendary accompaniment to walnut or basil pesto. Trofie has a firm structure, high nutritional value, and five star restaurant flavor.

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary there about 16 years ago and had a great experience. When I saw that the dinners were still being offered I booked a reservation for us to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. We were hoping the experience would not disappoint us since it had been so long since we were there - it did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was delicious, and meeting the other folks at our table added to the fun and enjoyment!

The food is limited by what the chef(s) find for that day. But this ensures its freshness. The food is prepared well and served in decent sized portions. It is BYOB and there is no corkage fee. Thus, no difficulty or challenges navigating a wine menu and paying so much more than it costs retail. Will definitely go back in the near future.
