Steak was like shoe leather, all 3 pieces. The instance potatoes were gross. The salad bar was just ok.

First time visiting this Hoss's, felt like I was back in the 80s when product, presentation and service were as excellent as I remember.
I will make the effort to travel the distance from Pittsburgh to Belle Vernon so I can enjoy future visits.
Tracey a 34yr veteran at this location was our server it seemed as though every time I blinked she was there checking on us.

Horrible experience. There was a thick crusted bottom of the creamy Italian salad dressing. The salad bar attendee dumped fresh spinach on top of old wilted spinach. Hot foods at bar were lukewarm at best. Waitress forgot an item and never came to check on us and we had to hollar for her twice and go find her once and my husband's steak was cold and practically blue and was supposed to be medium rare not raw. And my steak was so small there was no possible way it was an 8oz steak. Avoid this place at all cost.

Kaydin was a fantastic server. Best I ever had. She handled my delinquent college friends with ease. My one friend, two time stuck cup champion, was smitten with her service and smile but luckily she was able to deal with his ridiculousness. We celebrate our friendship and another year of stuck cupiness there every year. It gets better every year.

I ordered a 10 oz steak med rare, and when it was served, it was raw in the middle. I don't mind a rare steak sometimes, but this was raw! The waitress had an attitude right off the bat upon seating us. The steak looked like a turd on my plate! The rice was microwaved and was congealed into one big mass, and when I picked it up with my fork, the whole mass came off the plate and just wiggled without separating. I feel that as a steak joint, they should specialize in that sort of thing. I won't return here. Overpriced, sub-par food. Poor service. No wonder the place was empty.

Have never seen a steak or a piece of salmon this thin. How is it even possible. Restaurant is worn. Buffet should be avoided at all cost.
Food was served quickly, too quick. No possible was it was cooked when ordered. And yet, it was cold. All that aside, our server was outstanding. She deserves a better employer! Do yourself a favor and keep driving.

I ordered a couple meals through Doordash. I ordered steak tips - kids order. I had to THROW THEM AWAY. I could NOT chew them. Like tough rubber... I cut them into small pieces and even put them in butter and microwaved for 30 seconds. Still UNEDIBLE!!! Not one single tip was able to be chewed unfortunately. WASTED MONEY!!!! The hamburger and chicken finger orders were fine

Okay .. first, the servers and employees were all super kind and helpful!
The food... I can't imagine how this place has such high reviews .. I had a house burger... No sauce... With an onion ring that still had liquid breading on the inside... .. the burger itself was like chewing a piece of rubber.. you can get banned from Texas for serving that food item and calling it beef.
The salad bar was solid! I'm not sure I have ever seen corn salad with Fritos or potato salad with highly viscous sour cream before... But it may be a regional thing?

Again, super kind and helpful servers and employees ... Otherwise this would have been a 1 star review.
