Fun atmosphere! Customisable burger menu, fun milkshake options, friendly wait staff. The food was very good. Fries were pretty good, thicker, fluffy, and importantly crispy. Very good vinegar aioli. Burgers, importantly, were very good.

This place is an AMAZING burger spot!! I wasn't sure what to expect at first but I'm glad I chose this place to eat! The burger was absolutely delicious and the fries with the malt vinegar aioli were so good!! The girl who checked me out at the register was also very pleasant and had a very welcoming vibe to her! Thank you, Claire (hope i spelt that right!) I will definitely be back!

Had a chicken burger on a pretzel bun here. It was delicious. The portion size is just right here. I hate when portions are huge and then you have to take it home. Also I loved the gift shop.

State Burger is definitely the best place to get a burger around State College and Bellefonte! Unlike a traditional menu, customers can design their burgers just like at Chipotle. This means everyone can create something that meets their personal preferences.
The variety of options is unique and offers a chance to try something new each time. The atmosphere is clean and cozy, with pictures of cows and a nice candy store next door.
While the service during lunchtime is lacking from attentive waitresses, you do get your food rather quickly. This could change during busier times. Overall, this is a great burger with well-cooked meat and many options, making it a place you'll likely want to visit again.

Ate here 9/20/25 because the Chinese place we love was on fire (!). We had always thought about trying this burger joint and were close by . . . I do NOT understand the good reviews the food gets. A *flavorless* patty straight out of the freezer barely warmed in a pan (or microwave?!) on a dry, cold bun. No fire in this kitchen! The fries also came out of the freezer. We were starving but could barely choke down the food. Waiter was literally counting out napkins so he didn't give us more than one each. ¡Tacaño! I had to dry my hands on my pants. Portions on the small side. Staff was ok. Neat building. But a restaurant is about the food. I would almost rather have dropped $60 in Spring Creek and watched it float away.
