We had last visited this establishment when they were still in Axemann several years back and through a complete lapse of attention on our part, we didn't realize where they had located to until today.

There's kind of two atmosphere's upon entering this place. One is a darker, tavern vibe. The other is a much more open and brighter seating area that has some nice windows. We were seated promptly and attended to quickly by our waitress who explained the menu and their drink offerings.

I opted for a flight to try a number of beers (this being a brewery I think that's important) and my partner ordered a cider. Our drinks came swiftly and we entered our food selection. First of all the menu has a number of things that we were interested in trying and everything is made there from scratch. Most items are made when you order it which is awesome. I opted for a vodka with meatballs and my partner went for a mushroom risotto with steak. The vodka sauce was fantastic with a nice low level spice in the background. The pasta was cooked perfectly for me with the right mix of chew and tenderness. The meatballs were home made and full of flavor. My partner's risotto has a complex profile and was extremely fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender.

Insofar as the beer selection, I'm typically an IPA guy but the surprising standout for me was the Rubio. I'm a fan of pale cervezas, but I didn't expect to find such a respectable version of one here in central PA. It was bright, aromatic, and extremely refreshing. Definitely worth a try.

The service throughout was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The portions were well worth the price. There's a ton of things I want to try on the menu. We'll definitely be back here again in the future. Truly just a lovely little spot!

My husband's dinner was good, but the way my eggplant was served was somewhat disappointing. Pasta in a deep bowl with the eggplant on top. Had to cut the eggplant to eat it which left the spaghetti in a million little pieces. Also my dessert was a joke! Was supposed to celebrate a coconut custard cheesecake and it was a pie ! The
crust tasted like it was freezer burnt. Very disappointed 😞 Decor was tacky.

So the fries are awesome , no local cider options but the kicker is they have pizza - it’s fine but we had a party of 5 we ordered three pizzas and fries - they charged us 5$ a person extra for - sharing plates - I said we ordered pizza so we paid an extra 25$ on top of everything else because we were sharing pizza - so we won’t be back -and yes you did charge us 5$ per person and no you did not state that prior to us ordering- only when we got the bill

Wow, what a fantastic fine in central PA. Creative menu that didn’t disappoint. Super service meals came out so hot. Fantastic drinks to complement a great night. Couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to come back.

This was our first time here with our friends. The food was outstanding, as was the service. We will be back when we are back in town visiting.

We stumbled upon this place while in the State College area, and we are so glad we did. We had a wonderful meal (tasty, good quality food and substantial portions) at a reasonable price. Our wait person was also knowledgeable about the menu, an excellent server, and just a lovely person.
My husband had the Pittsburgh steak salad, and I had the Field and Stream, which was 2 large pork chops and some grilled shrimp, broccoli, and potatoes. Then we shared canolli for dessert. All delish. We'll be back and we highly recommend it.

Gave a piece of fried chicken I ordered drinks to our dismay was nothing that we ordered. My husband ordered a light logger and got a dark brew. I ordered a cosmopolitan and got a cranberry and vodka. No thank you. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan. Are you kidding me? The chicken looked like it was 10 days old fried refried inedible. My pasta was OK but will never go back. Sorry.

We had a great experience here, the portions were generous and the haddock was exceptional!
The Oktoberfest beer 🍺 was really good, and don't forget to try the Blonde Bombshells!

The food at Blonde Bistro and Brew Works is excellent. We frequently eat here and haven't had a meal that we were disappointed in. The Alfredo dishes (chicken alfredo is the pic below) are excellent and the Amish Beef Noodles are delicious! My wife loves the southern sweet risotto and I enjoy the Brunette Rye Ale thoroughly.
