Waffles were not cooked through, hash browns were not cooked potatoes still hard, and eggs were not done either. Waitress forgot items that were ordered had to ask for things more than once and tried to charge us for drinks we didn’t have.

Wife and I decided to try this again after not being there for awhile. 4/20/24 10:00am ish. Waitress was friendly and attentive to us. Food however, not worth the time we spent there. Western omelet, asked for light green peppers, it was loaded with them. Wife's omelet was incorrect but she was okay with it. Home fries, on both meals where cold, not even luke warm. Pancakes were fine though. We ate those and just asked for boxes to go. Figured we would just doctor them up at home and have them. Disappointed.

The home fries are improving in quality. Service was good overall but there was a delay in inquiring about a coffee refill. The physical atmosphere hasn't changed and has always been very nice. Staff is more informal than previously.The food was good and made to order.Parking: Parking lot and meters are free on Saturdays after 12:00. Free all day Sunday. The parking spaces in front of The Waffle Shop are limited but free.

Went to waffle shop today. The food was exceptional. I got the strawberry waffle and my boyfriend got the grilled burrito. My strawberry waffle was great and very filling, my boyfriend said his grilled burrito was excellent, the staff was very nice, the plus side is they take credit cards now. Will definitely be back soon.

It was horrible. First off I couldn't order what I wanted. You "have" to have a side? Cup of fruit..can't just be strawberries? Then I decided to just get French toast..which tasted awful. I didn't know French toast could be made wrong? Just hard and did not taste good. My boyfriends omlette still had basically frozen vegetables in it. The only thing that was okay was the chocolate chip pancakes my kids got. Corn beef and hash was so greasy. The amount I just paid to not eat basically. I used to come here a lot. Haven't in awhile and won't again. Back to state college waffle shops for sure.

I stopped by for the first time today. I had the patty melt. It was perfect. Nice atmosphere -- I love the plants in the window. The entire staff was friendly and bubbly and efficient.

Was visiting from Alabama heard about this place and it lived up to the billing. Good coffee, great waffles. I’m a Waffle House guy being from the south, but their waffles are outstanding as well!

We have been patrons of the waffle shop for many, many years. We understand that it has recently changed hands, and they have done some great updates inside. However, the food quality has gone downhill very much. We were there a week ago and it was so cold in there you couldn't even takeoff your coat to eat, the waitress gave us some excuse that the windows are single pane windows, and the air comes right through. They are the same windows that have been in there for many years, and it's never been cold in there. If there's one thing I hate it's trying to eat a meal when I'm cold. plus, the food was cold in less than five minutes. The home fries that I had in my nest egg, looked like they had been cooked three or four times they were so hard you couldn't even eat them. because this is one of the few places in Bellefonte that you can get breakfast, it was always our go to. But this will not be the case any longer.
