What an amazing, historic and beautiful place, my husband and I have been there twice on our wedding anniversary, and enjoyed it very much. One thing that people need to consider when staying however, is that when there are weddings at the hotel (which of course is a beautiful venue,) the whole lobby/restaurant/lounge area is extremely loud with the revelry and the music of the bands or DJs upstairs . I mean, unbelievably loud - so that it’s hard to sit in the lounge and talk at all for the whole length of the wedding reception. Still love it there, but I think next time, I would try to arrange a time to stay when there was not a wedding taking place. We were there for a weekend (Friday-Sunday) this month, and both evenings there was very loud music with wedding receptions, so hard to enjoy ourselves outside of our room .
Excellent menu .. delicious food. By contrast, Our waiter was impatient and inattentive.. no refills of water, we had to ask for our bread 3 times. Like we were a complete inconvenience. The food however was superb as was the overall setting.
Ambiance is lovely. Of 3 of us, one had a perfect dish of pasta, one had very good not great crab cakes, and one had steak that was so tough it was un chewable. We have dined here before, always at least a good if not great experience.
Service and atmosphere were outstanding. Food...brothy Carolina rice with Lima beans is not risotto. Just don't put it on the menu if you don't make risotto with Arborio rice. Steak sandwich was ok. Fries were the usual frozen and deep fried. Dining companion's salad was good, she said. Would go back but with lower expectations.
Food and atmosphere were very nice and the hostess Francois was fabulous. But our two servers disappeared from the room for long periods of time making it nearly impossible to get our one and only refill of coffee and water. Keep in mind this was a Sunday brunch buffet so that is all they had to serve us. Disappointed by the experience. We expected more for the price.
This was a pleasant surprise. Awesome Hotel, food and service. Can't wait to go back. As a plus downtown Bethlehem vibe is great.
As always, The Hotel Bethlehem never disappoints with ambience and quality of the food. Service seemed a little slow, especially waiting for drinks and dessert. Not sure if there was an event that night. Staff are very polite and friendly. The view was amazing! Will definitely be back.
A delightful and beautiful setting, good service and very good food, all made it a most enjoyable evening.
We celebrated our anniversary at Hotel Bethlehem and were absolutely blown away! They went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable — setting up a custom table just for us, surprising us with complimentary drinks and appetizers, and providing phenomenal service from start to finish. The most magical touch? Somehow, they even found photos from our wedding day 5 years ago and had them waiting at the table! We’re still trying to figure out how they pulled that off, but it made the night so personal and special. From the atmosphere to the attention to detail, everything was perfect. A night we’ll never forget — thank you, Hotel Bethlehem, for making our anniversary truly extraordinary!
Beautiful restaurant and the food were delicious. The service was good, and it was not busy on a Monday at noon. The manager even came over to make sure that the sun was not too much by our window seat. They checked back too to make sure we were comfortable. Lovely place.

The restaurant is stunning, I loved it! The room was perfectly sized. The lage arched windows with overlooking sweeping mountain views.....10 out of 10. I would come here just for the view alone. Honestlt, it's the beautiful building of the hotel and 1741 on the Terrace that did it for me. Everthing else was nothing special or grandeur. The food was average at best and didn't look fresh at all, more like a leftover pasta dish. But I wasn't mad because I eat at nice places all the time and, understand that it's the view your paying for. Some restaurant offer atmosphere and food quality, however this was not that. I will return for brunch and that fabulous mountain view.
Shuttle service was poor for older guests. Service was poor resulting in a two hour dinner, The entree was returned since it was not prepared to the correct temperature. The overall atmosphere was similar to a circus. rather then an upscale restaurant.
The food was exquisite—both visually stunning and flawlessly executed, with each bite showcasing clear intention and artistry. Josh provided impeccable service, attentive yet unobtrusive, which elevated the entire experience. The historic setting, nestled along a charming Main Street, created an ambiance as memorable as the cuisine itself. We look forward with great anticipation to returning.

We were seated next to a large table and they were very loud. Service was a little slow. Menu was limited but the food was very good.
Nice atmosphere and very nice service. Plenty to pick from on the menu and everything was tasty. Overall a solid dining experience in a historic area.
