The experience has changed since pre-covid days. The price has increased tremendously. Gone are the days of the student chefs presenting their dessert creations. The ambience was great, however the food quality and value was just sub-par
We had an amazing experience after years of wanting to go...I now regret not going sooner. From the smiling face that greeted us at the door, to our fabulous server and even seeing one of the chef's while I exited the restroom....every part of our time there exceeded our expectations! Make your reservation now!!
Delicious meal from start to end! Well paced and friendly service. We're already planning our next visit!
A great place to meet students and try the menu

We were there today for the first time. it's really nice to have this close to home. Good quality ingredients, very fair pricing and a clean setting. I prefer to pay for good quality than to purchase mediocre food at lower price point. Service was very good. Attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. Food tasted delicious! The salmon cake was better than any crab cake I've had. The NY Strip was very tender, flavorful beautifully plated. The pancake appetizer also delicious! You can bring your own wine (of course they have wine glasses). Keep in mind this is a learning environment. We were very pleased with the entire experience. I love cooking so I rarely if ever want to go out for a meal, but I can see us going there a few times a month. ❤️ Well done!
Excellent as always!! From the bread basket, to the apps, to the dinner, to dessert. Every exquisite detail was noticed and appreciated. We are lucky to have something like this in the Lehigh Valley!

Lovely restaurant with meals prepared by the students in Northampton Community College Culinary arts program. Food is beautifully served and prepared with care. Everything was delicious. Service was spectacular. Reservations are recommended.

I have dined many times at Hampton Winds. The food and service has been consistently good. Our server Michael was wonderful, but this time, the food was not good. We both had the pappardelle/shrimp. Some of the pasta was overcooked, while some of it was undercooked, in the same bowl! We will definitely return, but someone really messed up this time.
We have never had a bad experience here. Tonight we had the garden salad, melon salad, Swedish meatballs appetizer, duck confit appetizer, pot roast and Lager chicken. More than enough good. Everything was delicious. Each server was friendly and attentive. Fine BYO dining at a great price and 5 minutes from our house. It's a win- win every time!
This was my 3rd time there this summer. It was great. The ppl i was with had never been there and really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back for the fall menu. It was a relaxing, fun evening with friends/ co-workers. Go, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Everything was great. Server was helpful. Food was served beautifully. Selection wonderful. Taste super. Hard to find a better restaurant.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A little disappointed in the food, we had not been to the restaurant in many years and remember it to be much better quality of food. The Pub Pot Roast was really tough and either overdone or not cooked long enough, not too good. Another guest at our table got an entree with seafood, and did not like how it was cooked, also tough. Finally my sister-in-law got Greek Steak and did enjoy it. The bill was as expected, but there was an error upon payment causing the charge to my account to be far more, nearly double the amount it should have been. It was taken care of immediately, but still waiting for the credit to appear, the charge is still pending even though the correct charge cleared the bank. I did notify my bank so it does not go through from "pending" status. Not sure if we will return, at least not for awhile.
This is a hidden gem! Wonderful service, very clean. Great atmoshphere! I would highly reccomend the brunch menu

I don't use the term "hidden gem" lightly, but Hampton Winds definitely fits that description... it's such a fun experience and one of the best values in the Valley... definitely worth a try if you have not been there yet or a return visit if you have!
This restaurant was recommended by a coworker who had a great experience dining here. I like the idea of supporting a teaching environment but right off the bat thought it was pricey for a restaurant with student/ chefs in training. The place itself is nicely decorated and maintained. For a first time diner I feel that the server should have asked if we were familiar with how the menu worked; I asked the server to explain how it worked. The menu had some nice options and everything was beautifully presented/ plated. My appetizer ( meatballs) were cold in the middle, but the pasta and mushroom sauce was tasty. My boyfriend's appetizer, the duck confit was fine but lacked seasoning. The main dishes, paella and the Greek steak were good, but somewhat bland. Also, serving steak in a deep dish makes it challenging to cut the meat. We took our dessert to go. Overall spending $90 ( not including alcoholic beverages) on mediocre food was disappointing. Love the idea of supporting the students, but the meal was not worth $90.
