Everything was great. Server was helpful. Food was served beautifully. Selection wonderful. Taste super. Hard to find a better restaurant.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A little disappointed in the food, we had not been to the restaurant in many years and remember it to be much better quality of food. The Pub Pot Roast was really tough and either overdone or not cooked long enough, not too good. Another guest at our table got an entree with seafood, and did not like how it was cooked, also tough. Finally my sister-in-law got Greek Steak and did enjoy it. The bill was as expected, but there was an error upon payment causing the charge to my account to be far more, nearly double the amount it should have been. It was taken care of immediately, but still waiting for the credit to appear, the charge is still pending even though the correct charge cleared the bank. I did notify my bank so it does not go through from "pending" status. Not sure if we will return, at least not for awhile.
This is a hidden gem! Wonderful service, very clean. Great atmoshphere! I would highly reccomend the brunch menu
I don't use the term "hidden gem" lightly, but Hampton Winds definitely fits that description... it's such a fun experience and one of the best values in the Valley... definitely worth a try if you have not been there yet or a return visit if you have!
This restaurant was recommended by a coworker who had a great experience dining here. I like the idea of supporting a teaching environment but right off the bat thought it was pricey for a restaurant with student/ chefs in training. The place itself is nicely decorated and maintained. For a first time diner I feel that the server should have asked if we were familiar with how the menu worked; I asked the server to explain how it worked. The menu had some nice options and everything was beautifully presented/ plated. My appetizer ( meatballs) were cold in the middle, but the pasta and mushroom sauce was tasty. My boyfriend's appetizer, the duck confit was fine but lacked seasoning. The main dishes, paella and the Greek steak were good, but somewhat bland. Also, serving steak in a deep dish makes it challenging to cut the meat. We took our dessert to go. Overall spending $90 ( not including alcoholic beverages) on mediocre food was disappointing. Love the idea of supporting the students, but the meal was not worth $90.
This was a miss for us. Everything was doughy and not what we were expecting. There was no spice to anything and most things were flavorless. Food was medium to cold. The flan what was that? It was not a flan. The dolce De lech sauce should have been in a small warmer and the same with the cold Churro I ate. We love to support this restaurant and students but this was a miss for us.
One hesitates to say too many good things about Hampton winds because people may start realizing it exists and they will start showing up and keep coming back and there goes the neighborhood. But beyond the reality that this is an exceptionally fine dining venue in every way, the students, staff and Northampton County's excellent community college deserve our support in every way. They are an invaluable, and exceptionally tasty, community resource.
Excellent place to get food from up and coming chefs. The service was outstanding, food was excellent, and the price is outstanding! The ambiance is so sweet and cozy. We are a bunch of loud people so we were probably making a lot of people annoyed. Either way, the staff were absolutely fantastic and the food complimented it.
The staff and atmosphere at Hampton Winds is fantastic and the food is outstanding. Always a wonderful and relaxing experience. Great place to dine with friends and family. Compliments to all, especially our future chefs.
would not allow multiple credit cards per table when bill is being split. sauce was not thick on pasta dish, runny, not a good consistency. desert presentation very little flair tuna tartar was excellent.

Hampton Winds is ALWAYS a treat and an antidote to nearly every other restaurant. If only it were open beyond the academic calendar but it is a teaching restaurant. And it is fabulout!
